I'm up to 273 now in Enchanting. Up until this point, I've pretty much exclusively enchanted my own stuff, enchanted the gear of my alts, or just thrown away enchantments by enchanting the same item over and over again.

Now I'm starting to reach the zone where I'm wondering if it makes sense to throw away enchantments. I'm looking at things that requires 10 dream dust or 3 lesser eternal essences, so we're talking 6g-10g of materials. Using prices on my server, anyway.

I know the usual model is to dump all your materials in the auction house, and offer services for free if the customer brings his own materials. That seems pretty time consuming, with a lot of time spent just waiting around hoping for customers.

Another player suggested buying good blues from the AH, enchanting them, and then re-selling them at a higher price. Has that worked for anyone here?

I think the enchants people want are specific to their need. You also have no way of advertising that the Ziggler you are selling with +4 dmg is enchanted vs. the one that is 10g cheaper unless they hover over it... it's a bit 'hidden'.

I stay away from pre-enchanted blues on the AH - I know there is a premium.

But then I am an enchanter so that isn't a value-add for me.

Whilst I hate to say it, you are probably better off on the bridge outside the AH in IF /2 or /s your wares.

Don't do it too much or often though I've got a lot of enchanters on ignore because they thinks pamming trade every 10 seconds is a good idea...

look at it this way though - put your mats on the AH (you make more cash usually from DE mats than the original item). Then sell your enchants. The customer goes to the AH, buys your mats, then tips you for enchant...
