 I need advice. I'm a lvl 32 human lock and can't figure out where I should go. I'm too high for Lakeshire and Ashenville and I completed most of the quests in the Wetlands. I tried going to STV (which is great lvl-wise) but am ganked within one minute of being there everytime (no, it's not a complaint, I realize that is the price for being on a Pvp server).

Is there any good places for a low level 30s where ganking is at least manageable? Any and all advise greatly appreciated!

STV - but take some friends/guildies or you will get ganked (which I have np with either - I love PvP).

If that gets too much then Arathi highlands, fair bit of decent PvP & quests, or Southshore, lots of PvP & grinding.

Find mobs that give xp and kill them. As long as you can kill them and are leveling thats good.

Staying out of high traffic areas is key if you want to grind up.

There are a ton of great zones for xp but they are the most traveled. Find some out of the way spots where the loot sucks but there are monsters a plenty and you'll be in good shape.

Either that or level up inside instances.

Southshore

Yes there will be ganking, a horde town (Tarren Mill) is less than 3 minutes run from Southshore, but there should be plenty of alliance around too for you to party with.

Alternatively find Silverwind Refuge in Ashenvale. Nr there is the Talon Deep path to Stonetalon Mountains, there may be a few quests for you to do there. You can then head south from Stonetalon into Desolace which is also a lvl 30-40 area, but much less busy. Also the Horde town is the the South and the Alliance twown is in the North.

Yes, Desolace is a good choice for low traffic. Leveling through stv was a pain because I wasn't really leveling...just corpse running or hiding or getting revenge. From there I went to badlands and hit 40, mostly questing but a small bit of grinding...badlansd has no alliance fp but it's right next to loch modan. Some small traffic there from the horde town plus uldaman is located in thsi zone.40ish go back to desolace and head south to Feralas. As you head south through Feralas you will see a pier to the west, take that to an alliance island known as Feathermoon stronghold. Several quests on and around the island to get you a few levels, plus plenty of mobs to grind right near feathermoon if you want to go that route. That should keep you busy for a while.

Wow, this is great! Thanks for all the suggestions. I was ready to give up and concentrate on a new Pally I rolled which to tell you the truth, I am finding to be a lot of fun. After being a squishy for so long, it's fun to walk up to a mob boss and just start whacking away.

Shimmering Flats; you go from Theramore (get boat from Menethil) through Dustwallow Marsh, along the Gold Coast Road (?) to Thousand Needles then pretty much straight on to Shimmering Flats. There's a nice set of grind + collect quests there, plus all the fun of the goblin v gnome wacky racers :D I love shimmering flats :)

Plus as alliance you'll get a few quests in and around Theramore which are worth picking up.

Edit: you're possibly a bit higher than you could have been to get maximum benefit from SF but you'll still get lots of xp, plus it's still worth going because you can pick up the Gadgetzan flight path. And then there's the races :)

I'd go for Desolace too. There are a few quests that are worth doing there on an optimized run and there is some beautiful scenery just off the coast. After that. Probably Badlands.

All of the areas above work, although I have been ganked repeatedly in each of them. Usually, if one area has too many horde, I'll just travel to another and hopefully it will be better. It doesn't always work that way, but once you get the flight points, it's pretty easy to just go check it out.
