This is how I did it, i'm not going to say this will work for you but this is how I made 300-375 tailoring.

300-325 Netherweave bolts, I made a huge pile of these... it was a crazy amount.

325-340 Imubed netherweave bolts, I made 125 bolts getting from 339 to 340 I thought I was bugged and couldn't get the last point, but it finally ticked over.

340-350 Imbued netherweave bags, bought the silk/dust right off the ah. When I sold these bags I made back all the money I spent on the initial netherweave/arcane dust/spider silk investment. I even made some profit. I think I calculated something like 1g per bag... and I made a lot of bags. I'm thinking like 60-70? Been a while I forget exactly how many.

At 350 I decided I was going to take a little different approach:

Every 4th day I could make primal mooncloth/spellcloth/shadowcloth I got some points from that although they grey at 360.

Where I got most my points was from the tailoring of some other items. Instead of going out and getting the imbued netherweave boots pattern and flooding the ah or sharding them like everyone else I decided to invest a little cash in some patterns.

I went to the AH and picked up the patterns for:

Bracers of Havok
Binds when equipped
Wrist Cloth
67 Armor
+12 Intellect
Yellow Socket
Socket Bonus: +2 Spell Critical Strike Rating
Durability 30 / 30
Requires Level 69
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 30.

Cloak of the Black Void
Binds when equipped
Back
76 Armor
+11 Intellect
Requires Level 69
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 35.

Cloak of Eternity
Binds when equipped
Back
76 Armor
+36 Stamina
Requires Level 69
Equip: Increases defense rating by +23 (9.7@70)

White Remedy Cape
Binds when equipped
Back
76 Armor
Requires Level 69
Equip: Increases healing done by spells and effects by up to 59.
Equip: Restores 7 mana per 5 sec.

I made my primal cloths when they were up, and I made 1 of each of these items everyday. I priced them accordingly.

I found on the bracers of havok i could make mats +5g. On the cloak of the black void I could make mats +10, on the cloak of eternity I could make mats +10. However on the white remedy I could net 100g every time. I was careful not to put more than 1 at a time on the AH although the temptation was great LOL!

I leveled from 350-370 at a profit. I used my profits to buy the mats to do the primal cloth xmutes.

When I hit 370 and everything was grey other than imbued chest pieces and my primal shoulders, i crafted my primal mooncloth shoulders.(i wear hallowed, but thats another discussion) That ticked me over to 371.

At 371 I didn't want to make imbued chest pieces because I saw that as a money sink.

I went to the AH and was lucky enough to find the pattern for the epic item:

Resolute Cape
Binds when equipped
Back
289 Armor
+30 Stamina
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves your resilience rating by 21 (0.5%@70).

I was also lucky enough that on a guild run through shadow labs that a primal nether had dropped from murmur and I was able to snag it. I had a lot of primal mooncloth (specialized in it) so i went ahead and crafted the resolute cape to bring me to 372. The cape sold so well (800gold woot) that I decided to bite the bullet and make a few imbued chest pieces, shard em and hit 375.

I leveled 300-375 at a profit. I think I made in the neighborhood of 500 gold after the final tally, I also picked up a few nice patterns. I was also lucky enough to get the spellfire set to drop so I'm now busy crafting the legs/hood for that set. I haven't had any luck yet with the battlecast but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The pros to this, in the end i made money and skilled up.

The cons, I got lucky at the AH on those patterns being there, I got lucky with the nether from murmur, I got lucky again in selling the epic cape for such a profit. I also had about 2k gold to start with so I could start pumping out netherweave bolts and imbued bolts. If you don't have a bankroll to hit 340 from 300 it might be tough.

one tip I might add is find a tailor who is already over 340, ask them to let you bolt up all their netherweave, then ask them to let you bolt up all your imbued. They will be glad to do it, and you can hit 340 that way...for free.

340-375 is up to you. I recommend finding a cheap way to hit 350 (bags worked for me) then make primals until they grey at 360... might be slow but it won't cost you anything. 360-375 you'll need to sink in money for imbued crafting that you will shard, or find a pattern for an item that will sell.

Just my two cp.

I hit 375 about a week ago, and i have to say i'm not impressed with the cost to benefit ratio.

Other than being able to make my spellfire tunic i have no use for 375 skill.

All of the rep ginding i have done has only gave me recipes for 365 or lower. And the 375 patterns such as battlecast / spellstrike i have never seen drop in 40+ runs.

The 375 patterns that are BoE are going for over a 1000g each on our server, let alone the 500-600g cost of mats.
