I'm running 1 gig of memory on my system right now (2 sticks of 512mb Crucial). A buddy's offering 2 sticks of Centon memory for free. The timings match up perfectly with my memory (3-3-3-8) at 200MHz, and I can't afford memory right now, but doubling my system memory for free is really tempting. Has anyone heard of any  with Centon sticks? BTW, I got the timing info for the memory (my sticks and his) from CPU-Z. Thanks for any info guys

I'd say give them a try, but they're not a big name brand. Be sure to stress test the memory, don't just boot Windows and think it's 100% stable. Prime95 would be a good start, but better would be Memtest. Always, always run some form of testing software on ram, especially when it's being mixed with old ram, and in this case, from an obscure company. I strongly believe small companies to be problems, often enough more bad than good in this particle field.

Update - the memory passed Memtest and Prime95 without a problem. little snag though. the two Centon sticks play WoW fine, but when I run them with my 2 Crucial sticks at the same time (full system memory 2gig), WoW crashes and the pc restarts after about 30 seconds.....i think their running on different voltage freqs, gonna check it out when i get home tonight. anyone have any ideas, i'm all ears
