View Full Version : Enchanting costs to much! gahh!
Im a level 70 troll mage ( just hit 70 the other day and got my regular flying mount yay! ) but im about 15 points from finishing my tailoring which ill be glad to have due to the spellthread and spellstrike/frozenshadoweave. Anyways I have 300 enchanting and this junk just costs tons of cash to level. Would it be stupid to drop it? Im half tempted to pick up a gathering skill. I dont wanna mess with it and a buddy of mine has herb and skinning and he is making a ton of cash.

I find it a bit humorous that you complain about the cost of leveling enchanting, but didn't say anything about the cost of leveling tailoring...
ROFL
To be sure, a gathering skill would be beneficial.

Enchanting is awsome AS a gathering skill.
I havent leveled it up past 300 and Just DE everything to sell, its a great way to make money!
I know tailoring is expensive but It really wasnt that bad. The netherweave just flowed in and I did it during those 10 levels so its all good. Disenchanting stuff is a good idea, why I never thought about doing that and just selling the junk is news to me but a gathering skill is appealing to me for the money. Im just not sure which one Id do if I did one over enchanting.

Nothing else to spend gold on after epic mount. So who cares how much it costs? YOu a china farmer or something and worried about giving rice to your village? If not who cares about the gold. You cant put it into the stock market or send you kids to college with it.

If you're looking to max out your Tailoring, you're going to need a lot of Imbued Netherweave, which in turn is going to take a lot of Arcane Dust. On my server, arcance dust is going for 2-3 gold each.
Seems far easier to disenchant greens you find on your way as you make tons of money completing quests at level 70. And you can sell the shards of other things for big money as well.
And since you don't seem as desperate to max out your Enchanting, you could build that up slowly as you go. There are a lot of nice enchants for casters in the 300-375 bracket. These will cost you an absolute mint to buy the components for off the Auction House, but if you've been slowly building up your stock as you adventure, you'll be fully decked out with lovely enchants soon enough.
