Well I quit playing a little over a month ago but at that time I was mining and skinning and was making some nice coin on my rogue..
the jewelers were buying bars faster than I could make them. I was surprised to see that while I was skinning everything I killed I got as much skinning others kills that were left lying...made some nice coin on light leather...funny I was selling medium leather cheaper..

I made 23+ gold by level 30 on these 2 things.

How about now keep on with this or is jewelery flooded leather bottom out..

thanks for any info

Pure Mining isn't as much a money-printing machine as it was when Jewelcrafters were just getting started, but it'll still get you good cash.

I dont know about other servers but a stack of mithril goes for about 15g. The costs of other ores are inflated too. So yes, I would say its still a money maker.

Mining is the best gathering profession period.

Thanks guys....will keep on keeping on with mining.
Right now I have about 80 copper bars and 20 tin bars.
My skill is only 180
Seems that last year you went up with each deposit and each bar made.
Now its a lot slower....please correct me if I am wrong.

too bad med leather doesn't sell for more than light leather I get more and more higher leather and hides and less light that sells better.

Mining starts to really slow down when you get in the high 100s and into the 200s, and when you're in the high 200s, it really sucks. You have to rely on rare as hell Thorium and Truesilver veins.

Mithril will be your friend when you can actually mine it, it's pretty common (Hinterlands are very Mithril friendly) and stays viable to get a point for a good long while.

Try to get your mining up to 300 before you hit Outlands. Fel Iron deposits are REALLY common.

As for Skinning, just put out a stack of 20 everytime you hit it. It's decent coin, but the best way to make coin on simple skins is LW with Armor Kits. High level armor kits go very well.
