You should have absolute no problem running WoW on that. In fact, I'd say it'd run pretty well.
Edit: Keep your Vista disc, but grab a copy of XP. Articles show that Vista has some nasty performance issues, especially with games.. And my bro just got an amazing computer and was running XP originally. It ran VERY well for him with the settings all the way up. He just upgraded to Vista, and he lags and ****, even with settings low.. I'd really wait for Vista.

Thanks! I don't have that PC yet but does Vista Home Premium mean that it comes with Vista installed? because I don't want that. I just wanna go with XP for now.

That's usually what it means. They're not going to say "Windows® Vista Home Premium" and then proceed to give you a PC loaded with DOS.
But yes, buy XP and install it to a second partition, and make that your primary partition. I've had no problems with Vista yet, but it's new and will be consistently buggy for several months.

You can run WoW very well on rather old systems, this spec is overkill for WoW and you shouldn't have any trouble running it (infact I'm rather surprised you had to ask for an opinion)... But like a previous poster said you'd probably get better performance from Windows XP until alot of issues with vista are fixed and the kinks for video drivers are worked out.

Thanks alot. I won't be able to buy this PC for a few months anyway so hopefully Vista will have improved by then.
Just so I don't have to make another thread, how do I temporarilly cancel my WoW subscription. My computer sucks and I'm not going to play again till I get the new one. I went into account managment and clicked on cancel subscription but they were making it sound like that meant canceling it permanently. I got to the page with the crying peon and when it sais select a reason, there was no option saying "I'm quitting this game temporarilly". Will canceling it allow me to activate it again or will it delete it completely?

For what it is worth i have vista and play wow with no trouble. course i have 2g of ram, that helps cause vista's footprint is huge. the only problem i ever have is downloading patches, but if i Run As Administrator there is no problem at all.

I think my bro has 3g of ram and one of the best CPUs out, as well as an amazing video card. Vista just butchers performance for some reason for most Vista gamers.

You can have more than 3gigs, most I've seen a home PC take is around 4 but business grade servers and such can take something like 64GB, mac pros can also be upgraded to a max of 16GB.
Anyway, where you went to cancel your subscription is the right place. It does make it sound as if you're cancelling the actual account permanently but you'll be able to add gametime or setup a subscription anytime you want after cancelling the subscription. I've cancelled my account a few times and came back 10 months later to find everything intact.

This is completely dependant on the OS and the motherboard. Most servers don't run 32 bit software or X86 code of any form, hence they can address as much memory as they want, thier code is designed to match the hardware. Windows XP have an effective maximum of 3.2 gig of ram that can be addressed, add anymore and it isn't physically utilised.
A Home PC can take 16 gig of Ram, like a Mac Pro, if you buy the right OS. There are 64 bit operating systems, Apple and Microsoft; if utilised the limitation placed on four gig of addressable memory vanishes. A home PC running a 16 bit coded OS wouldn't be able to address even one gig. It's all in the programming.
