View Full Version : One Death Was Enough - Rosedene

I remember when det had a thread on his character Narnia, and Undead Priest. He basically had people place bets and what not as to when he might die - and that death was pretty much the end of his character's story.

I feel like doing the same thing. Partially because I'd like to get more out of the story in WoW (which I rarely pay attention to), and because I'd kind of like to play with a specific goal, and I like the idea of sharing it with other people.

Hopefully it's ok that I post this, and det won't mind that I'm copying him ;)

I made an Undead Mage named Rosedene on a RP server by the name of Farstriders. it's a regular RP, since I never PvP - and I don't want to worry about ganking :)

Anyway, I just wanted to try something like this, and hopefully a couple people will be interested in following.

As for quests - well, I've no idea where I'll go. I plan on playing the game as though I've not really played before. So I'm not planing out where to venture and what not. I'll just go where my character is lead as she progresses.

I, for one, look forward to following your progress. Good luck, and good gaming!

Baal,

If you really want to give this a go and have people develop a following, start a Blog here on this site! That way people won't have to search for this thread and they can always know where to catch up on the new adventures of Rosedene!

Agreed. If I ever roll another toon, I think it would be fun to make a diary of daily progress. (A simple screenshot or two a day and a few sentences.)

Ah, I wasn't aware of a blog on this site.

I started one up here: http://forums.worldofwar.net/blogs/viewblog.php?userid=4355

people can follow if they want, I suppose :)

Hey..good luck and ofc I don't mind :) Imitation is the sincerest form of flatery and it all started with D2 HC anyhow.

Mages are pretty good at survivability, at least the frost folks and with blink and frostnova there are some good escape spells. Took me to lv 30 until I got my mage killed in the Hillsbrad mines...anything with human(oids) and confined spaces is potentially deadly.

There also was a "perfect game" thread..but I think people died in the 20s and never bothered. A dwarf Paladin here died due to a powerfailure in his house ^^

If you play it carefully it is pretty much only a technical glitch that can kill you in Azeroth...Outland is a bit tougher with respawns and surprises...

So...do you want estimates on fatal accidents?

I read in the blog that you extended the story to 2 characters...and will you just update the blog or this thread as well. Even if it is just a copy/paste, I hope you update this too...

Assuming that you're as careful and sagacious as det (is anyone?), then I will make the same doom-laden prediction that I made for him. Random DC or crash, you log back, one dead toon :)

Frankly, I don't think most people are that careful or sagacious unless they did play HC on d2.

Even so, I did and am much more reckless

I had always liked Det's storyline when he was doing it. It would be cool to see it done again.

I hope you can make it a ways.

Sadly, any storyline I would do would be brief as I tend to play recklessly and would get killed before level 10. :)

So..when I click the link to the blog I get "permisson denied"

How is the story coming along then?
