Lately there have been a lot of "what is your..." threads, so I though I will start one too :azn:

My encounter yesterday: I was fighting a hordie at the top of the Great Lifts, and when I was about to kill him, he wanted to escape by the lift! I let him ride, then put on my divine shield, jumped down, and waited for him at the bottom... lol

Helping a fellow player to level in STV. Now, STV is contested/neutral area. The quest was to slay some panthers/tigers. So, off we went and came across an area that was busy with other players on the same quest. We attacked the first tiger we saw, then suddenly my PvP switch came on, after which we were set upon by not 1, not 2 but 3 level 60+ horde players. Our death was swift and painless. A moment of clearity then descended on us: my lowbie friend didn't release that the tiger was a horde pet

If that wasn't enough, it took ages to resurrect because the nasty hordes camped around our corpes for what felt like an eternity :embarassed:

yup yup...i just wish i was on a strictly pvp server because that woulda made me happier

I was reading a quest yesterday, and typing in the chat at one time, then I see that a horde player ticks up! I was so surprised  that I started clicking everywhere pressing esc and what not! I finally managed to quit the questlog and noticed the mage dude. He sucked! I was 33 s/he was 36 but got whipped! Looked surprised when I put blessing of freedom on! Not so funny but good Honorp. :sunny:

good ol pally has a good chance over a mage...one health bar vs three is a big amount.

just like a hunter vs mage.

i dueled a 43 as a 51, and he didnt even get a chance to hit me. he tried to freeze the pet, i hit red death, and the pet did a great job of doing a lot of damage to him and i never had to even hit me. a 50 mage vs my 51 at the time was no competition either...hit red death and blasted the heck outta him within 10 seconds...poor mages :(

Though I think a good mage can kick ass!
Actually I really suck at PvP! I remember I got wooped by a 29 pally at lvl31!!! LOL!! (Both ret specced) Although I haven't heard of the Verigans Fist at that time... :D I believe he did... I had the "Wooped by Verigan's" trade mark on my ass :D

I've learnt never ever under estimate an opponent, a lesson all should take on board. For example, there are good mages that can consistenly kick and punch extremely well above their weight, and of course I've come across the reverse. Just because you may have whooped one or two, you would do wise not to judge them all to be the same.

I have bruises and burns to prove this theory.

My funniest pvp story isn't that funny but it was awesome as hell to do it

Me and a friend were both level 52 trying to kill an elite mob in a cavern system, when all of a sudden level 70 mage and friend kills us instantly.

when ghostrun back and see a few more players that got killed at same spot as us, we invite them, we were with about 6 level 50 something players.

we all ressurect next to the mage and bash his brains out, never saw it coming:grin:

the next few moments were pure chaos because we aggroed almost everything in that cave due to warrior, warlock and priest that kept fearing all the addds we got from fighting the mage.

A mage that I used to PvP with regularly still treasures the fraps video of him and a warlock meleeing a pally to death. Even by the standards of PvP ROFLdins, this guy was poor. Seemed to take about a week to kill him though.

Lucid:

Wonderful story. I suspect that if some lowbie tried to kill my piggy, I'd be none too impressed, either. The last time that happened (I was PvP marked because my brother's lowbie lock got into a scrap with a 60 horde warrior), I killed three of the lowbies with a multishot, froze one, and let the other one run away to warn his pitiful village. They left piggy alone after that.

Heh well I learnt a lesson last night on my enh shammie - it was a horde BELF palladin duelling me in Gadgetzan, him 44 me 49 (and DW flurry axes)

First thing he does is hammer of justice.. stuns me for 5 secs starts whooping on me. Before I can get anything off he runs repentance on me... so I am totally immobilised for about 10s... health is down to about 600/2500.

But then I got an earthshock off and interrupted his next cast and closed range on him... some windfury procs, flurry and another earthshock.. BELF is on his knees begging for mercy 4 seconds later

Not such a grand win... but I gotta ask - does grounding totem suck up hammer of justice / repentance? Would have been awful if he had beaten me...

I had a hilarious one the other day; well, if you wanna call duelling your own faction PvP..

I was going on the zeppelin from STV to UC when a Blood Elf comes and asks me to duel him, I turn around and see hes a level 39 Paladin, so I figure what the heck. We start and a little into the battle I Fear him and he goes around running, then eventually falls of the zeppelin, dies and whispers me. It was pretty funny and ironic.

Camping the STV -> UC/Org zeppelins as Alliance is always priceless. You always get lowbies coming from UC/Org boarding to start questing in STV, and as soon as the zep takes off, you can just run onto the top deck, and it's all like "PEWPEWPEW IMMA CHARGIN MA LAZERS". I've done it a few times, but this one time 3 lvl70 mages boarded and kicked the crap out of me =[ Not really a good story, but it's fun to do. Even better, bring a priest with you and get them to mindcontrol the horde to run off of the top deck, fear can achieve the same effect too. :)

Those are good tricks... :D
I saw a vid once, about a couple of Alliances boarding the zeppelin and kicking the **** out of the Hordes on the way... made me smile :)

I was pvp-ing a mage yesterday (there seem to be many mages on the horde side), he was already 3/4hp when I attacked, and just before he would have died, he blinked into a group of mobs, so I don't get honor points! Tricky guy! He resd and came back to life and pwnd me 3x in a row! ARGH!!!

Actually, it sounds kind of childish ..... (zeppelin stuff)
Speaking of childish things

Funniest moment I can remember is from the days before the BC when every body and their brother was farming for the top PvP gear that just got 'unlocked'. We had a pre-made running WSG and 2 times out of 3 you could see people realizing that and leaving as soon as possible (which made it boring).
One time there was one mage who stayed in the game and we joined him sitting by a campfire exchanging emotes while our buddies were running the flags. It was very funny at that time and he even posted on our realm forum afterwards that he had a blast. I still got some SS's around somewhere ....

Also remember an AB game where me and a mate repeatedly found the same two paladins at our 'assigned flag'. They knew what they were doing (ans also were another premade) and dragged the fights so long by surviving everything so long that *another* paladin and warrior from another had time to come over and kill us off. The funny thing was the unending stream of curses on vent from my mate who already absolutlely hated paladins in PVP, during the whole of those fights he was cursing paladins to hell and back, made funnier because he could predict within seconds when the bubbles came.
I had to quit playing for abit for laughing so hard at his unbrideled (sp?) rage .

Other fun moment (this thread brings back memories :-) );
During the same period we got into the habbit to join AV as a small team (with right timing and/or a little ******) and depending on our mood go straight for their base or defend 'our belinda' first to slow down the alliance.
Sometime during the weeks before christmas we went in as all gnomes once (yeah corny but still...) and did our best lining up in the building where 'our belinda' was, and waited. About 10 cute little green and red gnomes standing in a neat little row.
Funny thing was an NE hunter running in there and litellary stopping dead as he entered the room. You could almost hear him thinking 'WTF' after which he got a /wave and a world of hurt. We were all laughing on vent during all of the hectic melee that followed when the rest of the alliance mob zerged in.

I was helping a guildie priest level the other day, and he was on that banners quest at the ogres at Ring of Blood in Nagrand. Well, there was a 5 man alliance party there preparing for the Ring event. We don't bother them, I run pretty close to loot a mob, and the 5 of them omgwtfpwn zerg me in a millisecond. Let me put it this way, 5 hours later they still hadn't completed the event. First, while there was only two of us, I'd res mid event, counterspell their healer mid-heal, and kill him before they kill me. While they were killing me (with their healer already dead), my guildie the priest would res and fear them. At some stage they started calling in people, when we saw it we called some guildies too, there was 11 of them and 5 of us, but they still didn't complete the event. The most stubborn ones were there for almost 5 hours.

At the end there were just some 70s left who weren't there in the beginning, mounted on flying mounts. One of our guild mages, an AP/fire mage with 1100 spell damage, and me, would hover above the mounted ones, unmount, hit slow fall, he'd do AP/trinket/PoM pyro and I'd hit trinket and whatever instants I could, we killed the mounted ones like this at least half a dozen times, mid flight. He also one shotted some of them a couple of times (with the ignite tick killing them).

Well it might not sound funny to you, but I laughed my ass off how they got griefed for 5 hours straight as revenge for being little sissies that attack 5 on 2.

Then as the icing on the cake, they post on realm forums how we are griefers and campers, denying how they ever did anything to us. I let the topic reach a climax and only then post the screenshots (with chat time stamps) of how they zerged me in the first place (with some spits on me thrown in for good measure).

Then what? Silence from them and lots of LOLs from the rest of the realm. :afro:

I can see his "face" infront of me as if looking from his monitor :D HAHAHAHA! Did u gank him?

The other day I was near Shimmering Flats, when I saw that there were some hordies questing aprox. 5lvls below me! One of the girlie mages got freeked, and looked as if she was frost traped... I didn't want to kill her, but I had to kill a MOB because it was attackin me. There was some loot in the corpse that would have been valuable for her (not really for me) and I wanted to show her to loot it! First I waved at her... she waved back; then I tried welcome (thought maybe she would ignore the "wel" and "come" to the corpse with me (6m away) :D; she said welcome too, but didn't come; Then I started running around /train-ing maybe she would follow me to the corpse, then I would somehow figure out what would mean loot, but she also ran around the place /train-ing. I gave up at this point, and thought she was a nice person, so I ganked her friend :D /waved to her

After that I couldn't sleep all night, cos I felt sorry for the guy I ganked... lol
Maybe I'm too emotional! This makes me wussy right?
I only like ganking in BGs.
