Alliance Lore?

Outland (from my Horde experience) seems heavily slanted to the whole Thrall/Mag'har thing... oodles of reunions, revelations and soforth. As my first Alliance character (Draenei Paladin), I was just wondering if there is any heavy lore Alliance side, along the same vein as the Horde?

I haven't noticed a huge amount. You'd expect a lot more Horde stuff going on, since the opening of the portal does link the Orcs back to their homeworld an' all... we do get to hear the attitudes of some of the alliance characters who have been in Outland for years and don't know of the (relative) peace in Azeroth - some of the stuff that some of the people in Honor Hold say is pretty militant about all orcs (regardless of their skin colour).

We get to meet some high elves of course... and I guess there's a lot going on with the whole dranei/lost ones thing, but that doesn't feel quite the same because it doesn't link to the old game.

Alliance lore is mostly about the Dranei trying to redeem broken and lost tribes, Krurenai (A faction of Lost identical to the mag'thar) and the hardships faced by those that went through the portal during the last war.

Hers some plot threads though:

*Honor Hold contantly under siege
*The Armory destroyed and everyone become ghosts
*Allerian stronghold, high elfs horrified at what happened to their people
*The blood elfs have Mana bombs (WoW equivalent to nukes)
*Kirin Tor village was nuked by a mana bomb
*Nagrand, the kurenai are being squeezed between all the ogre tribes trying to take over
*Blades edge, The druids of Sylvanar are trying to turn the place back into a forest again, meanwhile the gnomes are doing crazy experiments (Which usually results in you being catapulted across the zone)
*Shadowmoon (probably similar to the horde) the wildhammer dwarfs are trying to contain illidan within the black temple, whilst dealing with the source of all the burning legions infernals.

Hmm... all very interesting stuff, thank you. :)

Part of the reason I went with Draenei was to see things back home from their perspective, though I also must admit I was disappointed to find out (through the grapevine) that there wasn't any flavor lore for Orc Shaman PCs.

I'm guessing when it comes to Kael, Illidan and perhaps other big, bad BL bosses, we'll get some more Alliance lovin'.
