When running my Auction scan, it gets almost to the end, then gives me a pop up stating that the User Interface is using more than 48mb of memory, and it completely shuts down WoW.
Anyone seen this before? Any suggestions?

on yor character screen, open addons and increase the memory .
a lot of people have this set at 0.
this just increases the memory available for your ui so it will not crash.

If you are using wow without Garbage 1.1 then Auctioneer readme tells you to set it higher than the default (32mb). I'd suggest 64.
However, if you use the addon Garbage 1.1 it HAS to be set to zero (0MB) to make the addon work properly/

I have mine adjusted to 256 mb. Make yours around 60 and you should be good to go.
But I have the amount of RAM that I can do that.

Can I assume setting it to 0 forces unlimited usage?

I don't understand exactly where I make this adjustment.

Auc keeps a database file it uses to estimate price values. I do not use this feature of my auctioneer, instead I use the new post auction tab and it look sup the right then current values and makes an estimate based off those. This prevents you from having a huge database file full of data from weeks before and no longer useful. You can use a command to wipe the file each time you scan if you like, assuming you use trade channel and thus need this data for work in there, if you only use the Ah quit scanning then. Use the post tab and go with that would be my suggestion. other than that change the amount of ram dedicated to your ui as stated in this thread. other mods that can cause similar issues are large database mods like mobinfo, mobhealth, enchantrix, and those ones that keep track of every item in the game so you can link them.

I don't understand exactly where I make this adjustment.
after you log on to wow you have your character screen.
in the bottom left hand corner is a addon button, click on this and this brings up a list of addons.
in the top right corner is a box with the script memory in it.just change this to a higher value.

If I understand correctly, it allows WoW to manage the memory as it needs it. Mine it set at 0 and has been for along time with no adverse reactions, I only run 1 gig of memory.
