Looking for a damage meter, I know there are loads out there, I just want to know which one is nice and simple to use.

Want it to be able to output a list of whose done the most damage in a party, into the chat window. Fairly sure I was in a group with someone who had one that did this, but they disconnected before I had a chance to ask what it was.

Any suggestions?

SW_Stats is brilliant but takes a little while to setup right. Damage Meters is simpler I think but not quite so neat in my opinion.

SW_Stats looks much better to me too. Will try that out this evening.

Have run ZF loads over easter and noone in any of the PUGS was particularly running any meters, and I'm starting to get curious as to how much I am actually doing compared with the others in a group.

recap(hawksy) is very nice too, and requires no setup.
grab it at http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/5467/recap-hawksy/
(unfortunately not mirrored here)

I was using Recap until recently but it seemed to be horribly inaccurate and occasionally buggy.

Violation..ACE based. Tiny and has very little overhead. More of a personal monitor but they are working on the party facet of it. It did well on a 2 man group, but a 5 man it did nada. Still I like it a lot.

Downloaded SW_Stats last night and ran it. One question about it though, can you move there the icon for it is? Its currently over my herb tracking icon, which looks a bit weird.

SW_Stats icon can definitely be moved, can't remember which mouse button but I think it's alt+drag. If not try every combination of holding one of shift, ctrl or alt with left or right mouse button and you should find it.

I am assuming you have Fubar as well, although it should not really matter. Mine showed up right on my Fubar and work righted out-of-the-box. Settings to change color, reset, change text on Fubar, and others. Hmm.

It showed up and worked but didn't actually track anything. No clue what was wrong but I'd rather have it in an onscreen box like SW_Stats anyway. Maybe I'll have another look at it when it's had some more dev time.

Fubar plugins can have their tooltips perpetually on. Did you tell it what to track?

Probably not, didn't really give it much time. Oh well, might have another look if I get bored.

I just installed "damagewatch window" which is very simple.

I have not had time to examine it yet but it looks good for my simple needs.

total damage is simple and if you need to configue it that is also simple.

right click to 0 out everything or set it for each encounter, each session...etc

Violation currently only tracks group members with the addon. They are working on the full group part. They are also working on getting it to send data to SWS and DM.

Yeah I had Violation in one of it's first beta phases and it reported almost exactly the same as someone else's DamageMeters. Unfortunately they stopped the group monitoring in one of the later releases but as PathMaster said they are working on it. I currently use DamageMeters which doesn't seem quite so memory intensive as SW_stats, but it doesn't report as much.

Same here. I had a lot of fun seeing how much damage I did and received as well as healed in Maraudon the other day. Main healing over 200k..I still can not believe it.

Hope the group module works great and doesnt add to much to memory usage.
