I was reading one of the other threads and someone said that the enhancement spec is broken in pvp. I had elemental spec'd for a long time, but I respec'd to enhancement because I kept running out of mana and I was doing a lot of solo grinding etc. so it is a lot easier to just shoot a dot, cast a shield and stormstrike away. I am gonna try out the enhancement once I get 49 before I respec, but can anyone give me a breakdown of the +/- for each build (you can throw in healing spec too if you want  )?
thx

In my opinion that would be quite a good PvP build - Grounding is godlike for PvP. The 2 points in Enhancing Totems can be moved to whatever you prefer.
PvP as enhancement pre 60 still works, however, the high health scales much faster than the shaman damage after that.
It sounds like you want a resto PvP build aswell, so here goes.

Highly offensive resto build, focused on totems and weapons to kill stuff while keeping friends alive. NOT a good Non-PvP build, due to low mana effeciency.
Hope this helped abit.

Thanks, I will check these out when I get home (thankfully this site is not blocked by websense). I had a feeling that the difference had something to do with dps given vs dps sustained that prevented shaman from being a great force in mele, but I totally have this romanticized vision of me utterly destroying cloth with stormstrike, NS, proc the flurry, NS whilst buffing everyone around me with agility. Maybe this is impractical, but I have always had a thing for 'alternate' playstyles.

What exactly do you mean with that?
I'm confused, might because of that it's in the middle of the night though.

Sorry, I was just excited about killing allys and started fantasixing :cloud9:
I just meant that I have fantasies of dancing with opponents, particularly cloth wearers, and chopping them up with enhancement abilities and interrupting them with nature shock whenever they start to cast something cumbersome. I originally liked the shaman because I thought it was a good hybrid of fighting styles, but I think that dealing massive melee damage would catch people off guard, esp if I am doing melee support totems.
