New to modding

Well I have spent the last few days sifting through all the mods on here and some other sites. I have decided that I would like to take a stab at trying to edit mods.

Is there anywhere on the net where I can get info on the scripting language? Any resource websites? definitions? and the like. I'm not new to coding just scripting.
