I have a mess on the minimap....any ideas

Well I tried the simple minimap and it works and groups all the icons around the map but now I am missing one. The icon that allows you to select and see nodes and herbs on the map.
I remove the simple minimap and went with the default minimap buttons.
BUT NOW all I get is + - and mail.
How do I reset my minimap icons back to default?

First off, you hid the minimap tracking icon in SMM. Try to turn on tracking icon before doing anything else.
If that fails, remove the simpleminimap.lau file from your worldofwarcraft\wtf\accoutname\servername\savedvariables folder

It may be saved per character, if so, go into each character folder and remove the simpleminimap.lua file from each of the characters saved variables folders.

well after removing everything still no tracker icon on the map.
BUT when I click it in my book it appears....then if I click the icon it
disappears again.
Click it in the book back...click it on the map and gone. The skill remains active but the button won't stay on the minimap.

AHHH to heck with it ....I just made an icon and click that but its annoying as hell wondering what will go bonkers next

are you sure you're not just simply toggling the tracker on/off?
it's treated like a spell, and drops when you die, so you need to recast it again after rez'ing..
and if you right click on the icon by the minimap, you cancel the spell/tracker

left click or right click on minimap tracker icon and it disappears.

any type of click on the icon and its gone...
not sure if staring will make it go away or not...will try that later :tongue:

Right click is supposed to remove it, couldn't you just not click on it?

LOL... that is the way you remove buffs, by right clicking on them.
Then you have to recast the buff in order to get it back(tracking works like a buff),
I think what you are looking for is Fizzwidgets tracker menu mod. It keeps an icon on your minimap that you can select the tracking from.

WOW that was/is weird..after trying the mod the icon stated on the minimap.
So I went and disabled the mod and the icon still stayed.
There must have been something that was disabling the icon when you clicked it left or right click. This seems to have cleared it up.

Maybe just a glitch ?
