Is it viable to do a druid in PvP at 38?

Ie Battlegrounds.

I was planning on putting stacks of STR/AGI/STA on my char and then going into WSG/AB.

I also have my brother doing a feral druid- so its 2 druids....

Thoughts?

I have a 39 druid that I pvp with and I enjoy it immensely.

You'll be extremely valuable in WSG as a flag carrier since no one will have mounts yet and cheetah/travel form can be pretty hard to catch otherwise.

Also the ability to go dps or heal is ideal since some BG groups will be lacking in one or the other (most likely the heals -- and so I'd keep a set of healing gear on you, even if you are specced feral). Not to mention that MotW is a great all-around buff.

well...if you want to get into the fray, where there are many twinks and such...it's a little difficult. That's not to say they can't do it...but I believe they're at a disadvantage going feral with so many twink hunter/rogues going around in that bracket. However, if you plan on healing...we love you for that. BGs always need more healers. You're the best flag carrier, as well.

I have been theorycrafting this and started having some guildmates accumulate my BOEs off the AH.

Anywho....here is my current document....Just under 1k crit, and you can assume you can get in 2 of these in a row before anybody knows your there.

Yes...you wont have the versatility in attacks as a rogue, you won't have the specials of a warrior in bear, BUT, with the ability to transform...you are endless with possibilities.

My idealogy is I'll be running around with a guildmate that has a 39 rogue twink...so between the two of us, we can dps lik crazy, and if things get out of control, I pop into caster form and heal him as he decimates all.

Of course, this IS 39 not 38...but while I was leveling my druid, I ended up spending a LOT of time in the bgs at 34-36 and it was a blast. I couldn't take on one target, but I could assist in DPS and then heal when necessary.

Don't completely agree with that list.

Then again, I doubt it'd be worthwhile to go out of your way to really twink up unless you intend to stay at that bracket for a while.

Might not be a poor idea though, with WSG bracers @ 40 and AB boots @ 40 being 2 very nice items.

That list comprises as (what I could find) as resulting in the most AP. SOme are slight trade-offs ebtween a few extra points of stam for a few less points of AP.

But yea...if your not plannign on sticking around...BGs are definatly still doable. You might be required to heal a lot of the time....but that can be a blast too!

Ill be in it long enough to get some wsg rings and ab boots.

Maybe a little longer to get some more markers :)

I was thinking of just doing the feral route rather than adding in OoC etc.

Been using OOC and I just dont like it too much.....

Hopefully it will be better later.

Oh, and I stay in Cat form most of the time..........
