View Full Version : Worst Arena Team

I gathered a few real-life mates to make an arena team, and we ended up with this class layout:

Prot Warrior
Prot Warrior
Holy(+Disc) Priest
Resto Druid
Elemental(+Resto) Shaman

As you might be able to guess, we're all a little bit PvE spec! So I want to know if anyone can beat this with a worse team make-up in a team that they're a member of. Unsurprisingly we lose every game :D . Also taking bets on how low our ranking has to go before we meet a team that's so bad that we can beat them!

Yes, five enhancement shammies. I am cheating a little bit, as this isn't a team that I belong to, it's a hypothetical one. My shammy has refused all requests to join arena teams (there have been a surprising amount- seems people can't even buy a clue on ebay).

No snares, no anti-snares. They need to be in melee range. Even a drugged kitten could pwn them all. Enhancement shammies are the most broken class/spec for PvP right now, even my disc-specced priest lives longer :)

Yeh, just the def. speccs there is what could be hurting you guys.

If you went MS and even Fury for one warrior it would help you guys out a lot more.

Heh, well these are our two MTs and I know they love Def too much to change - we are primarily a PvE guild. Not that we force specs on anyone but they love tanking and I love healing and we've ended up with the most awesomely bad arena team ever. But hey, I figure if we drop to like 800 or so in the ratings then we might find teams we can beat :D ! Maybe.

cant you get 3 more members and rotate a bit so the "reserves" need only 30% of games to score points for the week. Play with just one def warrior at a time, get some power like a rogue in...?

Alternatively..if it is for fun, keep doing it. If it is for points, dissolve and recreate every 2 weeks..at least you start with 1500 points again..lose your 10 games, you are down to 1350...better points than continuing at 800 ^^

It's just for fun, we're happy to lose every game :) . Also recreating at 200g a time isn't really worth it anyway. We have a couple of others in the team, like a Shadow Priest who plays occasionally but we're not really bothered about winning. On the basis that it takes ~30mins per week and we'll get a free epic in a month or two it seems like we might as well carry on. Looks like nobody here has managed to put together a worse team, so at least we're the best at something!

Worst I can do:

2v2 team consisting of a prot warrior and a prot warrior.

Impossible to not beat unless they get a VERY fortunate spell reflect.

No, that cant be the worst for the arenas...I'm on a 2v2 team consisting of: Me (feral druid) and a MS Warrior.

We've won MAYBE 3 games out of our...30 something games?

this weekend we made a 3v3 team up with me a arms war a bm hunter and mm hunter thinking we could do pretty well.
hmm we are from a pve server and had to fight and lose 10 times on trot a kor gall team, so not sure if we really are that bad or if it was down to playing against hardcore pvp'ers. needless to say we left and had some fun in eye of the storm bg.

I cannot see how a MS warrior and feral druid can be worse than 2 prot warriors. I actually think if you gear up and learn how the two of you work, it could be a decent team.

I'm not saying it's the best make-up for a 2v2, but they're both pretty strong class/specs for 2v2.

I see you being able to burn down a healer quickly enough, druid heal's up if not under attack, if under attack, go bear until they're off then heal. The whole time MS warrior is MS'ing them to death.

Actually, we have improved since I last posted. We are now 20-15, or something near that.

If I could find a talent calculator that the school hasn't blocked, I'd tell you what good aspects there are to having a 2 Prot Warrior team...
