Wouldn't it be cool if players could but bounties on other players (horde on Alliance or other way around).

Yesterday, I had some lvl 70 camping an area - must have got me 4 times before I finally just left. While I don't mind the camping so much (I am on a pvp server and that is part of the game makes it more intersting in some ways). I still would love to be able to put out a world call and say hey, I will pay x amount of gold if this person is found and killed. Obviously with the way the system is now you could put out the bounty but there is no way to confirm the kill. I realize it could easily be abused but still I think it would be a cool feature.

Heck, the old Diablo II system of grabbing an ear off your pvp foe would work great.

problem is (and generally with every bounty system in MMOG's) is that is easily abused. So if you put say a 50 gold bounty on an Alliance player, he'll just get his friends level 10 horde character to kill him, get the ally put a grey on a neutral auction house for 50 gold, get the horde character to buy it out and hey presto, Ally gets your fifty gold without any retribution being inflicted.

Easily abused, pretty pointless on PvE servers, and where do you draw the line? If you're in say Terran Mill, and a massive fight takes place, IE: many 70s on both sides going at it, and you decide to jump in, well, what then? Or if you decide to go solo-raiding and a level 70 trashes you. It was your fault. So where and even how, do you draw the line on, yes he was a bastard, and no, it was my own fault?

We used to call those honorable kills.

Personally, even if it became an option, I doubt I'd ever use it, mainly because I value my gold stock higher than 30 seconds of inconvenience for a guy I know squat about.

Use a KoS mod that shares data with your guild and current zone. Now you've got a list of players who deserve to die.
