Start by reading all the stickies posted on the pages. If you still need more answers than that, ask away.

Welcome to the game!
Perhaps you can give us a bit more info as to what you need help with?
Is it general info about the same?
Do you have any specific questions?

I'd browse the official page for some general info, as well as the FAQ over there ( < http://WorldofWarcraft.com/ > ).
After that, go through and read some stickies on the official forums as well as these. If you have any questions still, there are newcomer forums both here and at the official page ( < http://forums.WorldofWarcraft.com/ > ).
Welcome to the game!

The best toon to take to the endgame is the one you enjoy playing the most. I know that sounds like a stupid answer, but it really comes down to that. There is no such thing as a god-mode class, although people will often believe that Hunters and Warlocks come close. Once you enjoy playing a class, you delve into it's secrets, the little tricks that come with them and generally end up being a good player with that class. And let's face it, if you're stuck playing them for 70 levels wouldn't it be better to enjoy that time, rather than playing a supposed god-mode class chosen for you by some random forum members?
The best thing to do is to choose a few of the classes that interest you and to play them up to level 10. Getting to level 10 should take you about two hours to three hours or so and will give you an initial feel for the class.
That said, what type of character do you want to play? Are you into spells and arcane magic or do you prefer getting in somebody's face with a big axe? Or perhaps, do you see yourself somewhere inbetween? Do you want pets that can help you fight or are you interested in shape shifting?
WoW is generally speaking an easy and accessible game. Don't worry that any one class will be too difficult to play.

1. Decide whether you're a face to face bloody combat guy or someone who wants to lean back and have a better overview of battle, pumping out spells.
2. Do you want to be a main damagedealer or a support class?
3. Would you feel comfortable healing?
There are tons of these questions you should be asking yourself now. Take a look at the official site, there's a newcomer section with quite a bit of basic info about the game which should leave you with a good portion of these questions answered.
Lastly, capitalization and punctuation is your friend when writing things on a forum, doing wonders for the readability of your posts.
