"I do find it interesting though that for so many on PvP realms it seems that they only wish to engage an enemy when it suits them, while far fewer are actually looking for out and out warfare. Telling, says I. Telling indeed. Rogues a common class too you say? ;)"
This from the front page...anyone still not convinced of sociopathic like behavior on PvP servers? New to the game I rolled on a PvP server (to play with in-laws) and noticed behavior like this immediately.
Who likes a fair fight, even if its a game?!? (See also outcome of Detroit Redwings vs. Ike's pee wee team (South Park reference)).

IMO, PVP has little to do with fair.....

The only unfair fight is the one you lose.

"If the fight is a fair one, you did not pick the right one".
I play fair. I don't see the point in killing people while they're fighting a mob or at 30% health, anything of that kind. What's the fun in killing someone at such a huge disadvantage?
Although, I do find it fun when they try and do it to me.

<blinks> My digestive gray matter is a little sluggish this early in the morning. It was that weird dream with the Alkasaurus' in it that did me in, so I'm not quite sure I followed that original post.
Kill em all, I say. If they're red Tasharin will attack, with some slight consideration for level differences. But playing Horde that just seems natural. There's a reputation to uphold and more often than not it seems to work as well. Besides, there is honour points in it and kill totals to raise. My own private faction grind, so to speak.
So I'm for all out warfare, except when I want to be left alone.

It makes sense. No one wants to pick a fight they can't win.
I'd also wager that the average age of players on a PvP server is lower than that of the players on a PvE server. My time is much more valuable than a 14 year-old's who can probably afford to corpse camp me all day. So that "sociopathic behavior" might just be hormones.
