Rest Bonus Ticket Issue!!

I recently noticed that since BC i do not have a 200% rest bonus on any of my toons. I raised a ticket to query this, expecting to be told that it was withdrawn in BC or some such and not to worry...

What i did receive from Blizz was a mail saying that I should raise another ticket with more info and they will try and contact me again.

So I raise the ticket and get and identical one back the following day saying please raise another ticket giving as much detail as possible and they will contact me again

I am guessing from this that in order for my problem to get looked at I need to be online when they come to my ticket else nothing happens, is this correct?

Secondly, does anyone else recieve 200% rest bonus in BC?

Most likely, as you figured, you need to be online at the time for them to fully investigate your issue.

Yes, there is 'rested' in BC... just like there was pre-BC. If you don't play for a while or sign off in a city/ inn- expect a blue bar when you return.

to clarify, i do get rest bonus but its just 150% rather than 200% as if all my characters were alts, rather than the 200% on you highest level character. Have tested all my characters and none get 200%

1.5 levels of rest is the most you can have per character.

200% is the bonus exp you get.

I don't believe it has anything to do with your characters level or if it's your highest. Back in the day blizzard was having huge server problems - they gave everyone full rested exp bars, which was 1.5 levels.

You are right in that the maximum amount that can be acrued at any one time is 1.5 levels at bonus rateUmm. I don't know where you get your information, but this is entirely incorrect. The bonus for all characters is 200% (so, double experience). The maximum length of a blue bar is 1.5 levels, which is acquired after about ten days of not logging, I believe. I could be wrong about that bit, it might be a week. But in any case, the bonus is the same for all your characters: 200%, whether it's a level 50 character or a level 1 character.

Besides, what logical reason would they have for a two-rate system like that?

Ooops!! I think I finally understand this now...... :blush:

I thought there was a dual system which prevented you levelling a second character as fast as your first....

Think I was mis-reading the bit where xp is reported in that it says something like 'xp gained 200 (bonus xp 100)' in that I thought the bonus was applied on top of the xp gain... ie 200 + 100 which would be 150% rather than what it does say 100 + 100 which is of course 200%

About your original question, I really think they can only help you when you are online. Are you really getting no rested bonus at all? Or was it a "problem" related to your little misunderstanding?

People go off on GM's all the time for problems a lot more simple then this, and then their pride gets hurt so they constantly continue acting like they are right.

I wonder if GM's can place note's on people characters...

Well I came back after a month off and my high level had 2 times exp stored up. After walking out of the inn, and going to the bank and some other stuff I looked and it had 1.5 times

all my other toons had 1.5 when I logged into them

SOOOOO something is weird in how its stored and how its done.


hope you get a real answer from them. I am sure its do you have a router, have you defragged your hard drive. Maybe you should reinstall your OS..

I'm interested in how you know...the 1.5 'times' refers to BARS....So, it is 1.5 times a FULL LEVEL.

So, if you are at 55.6, you can accrue rest (sitting idle, anywhere rest accrues) through 57.1.

Not sure if you previously misunderstood, or if you have something that looks into places on an XP bar you can't even see yet (for levels 56 and 57).

The 1.5 doesn't relate at all to the amount of xp you get per kill. It relates to the maximum amount of a level you can accrue rest for, while in an appropriate area.

yes I was using a bar add on and its numbers were correct. It was 2x my exp in rested. I don't remember the exact number I was level 54 at the time. The total was displayed as total rested and when I figured it up it was 2x. After about 10 minutes it just dropped and I recalculated it and it was 1.5x. SO it came in at 2 but dropped. I am assuming that the chr was given 2 in some code but was recalculated at some point to reflect 1.5. That being the case it was coded for 2 and at some point it was adjusted down...NERF TO RESTED !!!!!!!!

well hell they have nerfed everything else :rolleyes:

Maybe someone else was helping you kill the mob?

I noticed when i went to outland, I was getting around 900Exp per kill of lvl 58 mobs and once a hunter ran past fired a shot at the mob I had already aggroed (1 shot only) when I killed it I only got 850Exp so the exp depends also on what % of damage you inflict on the mob.

It is definately double experience for kills whilst rested and the bar regenerates at one bubble every 8 hours while logged out in an inn or city (which is 3 bubbles per day) 1.5 levels is the maximum which is 30 bubbles in total so I can confirm that snowy is spot on with his 10 days to get full rested bar.

i've seen this a couple of times with addons showing more than 150% rested xp. My conclusions were either a bugged addon or the rested xp goes way past 150% but is then capped when you log back in for the 1st time.
