Aldors and Scryers

I'm trying to decide between the Aldors and the Scryers.

I'm a balance druid that may eventually go resto. Professions are leatherworking and skinning. I've researched such sites as wowwiki.com for comparisons, but I'm still struggling with the decision between the two.

Any suggestions?

Depends on a great many things. How likely are you to be running raids or heroics any time soon? Aldor have a "rare" spell damage staff, and Scryer have a "rare" healing staff, both of which match or beat any quested staff I've seen, and only really lose to the raid drops. None of the other "rare" items either side have are particularly valuable to a balance or resto druid compared to what you'll get from questing to 70.

The Scryer leatherworking patterns are, with one exception, identical to the Aldor, but with Arcane resistance in place of Fire resistance. The one exception is the belt piece, that also trades 2 AP for 36 Armor.

The Scryer have more vendors than the Aldor do, including a general goods and trade goods vendor. This isn't very important if you'll be running the instances that get you lower city rep, but if you don't, makes the 10% honored discount easier to get to.

I'm not in a very large guild and, at lvl 61, I'm the highest in my guild. I doubt that I will be running raids and/or heroics soon. :(

Scyers have an alchemy recipe (greater fire power) and Aldor does not if it makes a difference. Also, take a look at the different shoulder enchants each faction offers.

I'm a feral druid and in order to get the Verdant Gloves (tanking gloves) I think you need to be Scryer. I couldn't get the quest for them until I went with the Scryers. That was pretty much my only reason for going with the Scryers. I have noticed that the majority of the people I run instances with are Aldor though. That may be a coincidence though. I guess look up equipment online you may eventually want and if you see anything that is in the one faction plan on going with them.
