What happens if I unlearn a profession?

Hi, atm I'm a leatherworker at lvl 70 (leather working not my char lvl). I want to try my hand at tailoring but I don't want to lose all the work I put into LW. If I unlearn LW and then relearn it later, will it still be at lvl 70 or will it reset?

I've looked for info on this and asked in game but got no answer.

Aah, nvm. I've just found the answer on WoW Wiki

You may 'forget' a profession and start a new one but this removes the chosen profession. If you were to learn it again, you would have to start levelling it from a skill level of 1 again.

Not the answer I was hoping for really.
