View Full Version : Most annoying addon ever?

I was in 40-49 AB over the weekend, getting my marks ready for my epic raptor when I hit 60.

One player had the most annoying addon I think I've ever seen. Every 15 seconds or so it would spam number of nodes we had to hold to win, and whether we should be attacking or defending and the time left to win...

Now I wouldn't have minded if it was every 10 mins or so, but it was every 15 seconds! Does anybody know what the addon was? Just so I can avoid it at all costs... lol

The guy refused to switch it off despite everybody telling him how annoying it was. Eventually most people put him on /ignore. I did quite a few ABs and everytime I saw him there, a quick warning to people to drop him on /ignore were gratefully received. To top it off, he sucked as well.. I capped more nodes and out dps'd him, and I'm a full resto Druid!

And I discovered that cretin is a very satisfying word to use, and as far as I can see doesn't contravene ToS...

Edit - doh, you mean PvP addons.

I've seen the output from that mod before too, but every single time it was not used every 15 seconds.

I wonder why he did that, because it is helpful info every few mins, but people would ignore him and get nothing the way he did it.

Anyway, sorry I don't know what the mod is called, but I'm waiting on an answer too. I want it to see how long things take to cap in AV...

If you are looking for a mod to tell you when things cap in AV, DeadlyBossMod works. Does a lot of other useful things too.

It's not as irritating as those mods which spam whenever Tardlockpwnzjoo mounts up though. Oh, how I hate those, in a major city, floods of "I am summoning a steed from nightmares!"- that's nice, dear.

People who forget to disable the emote in feed-o-matic are annoying too.

If it used the word "Allies" instead of "Alliance", chances are it was AlarBGHelper. If it ever did auto-announce, I've long since disabled that - the cretin might have been repeatedly clicking the announce button.

Never ceases to amaze me, the number of people whose sole purpose in the game seems to be getting onto my ignore list.

He was looking for one that reported this to /bg, automatically, and constantly, only so that he could avoid downloading it.
