A few of my friends have finally peak my intrest into the level 29 bg bracket. I already have a level 70 and various other 60+ characters to help if needed.
My question arises is that I have a general idea of what I want to get, but like a lot of people that twink out their characters it's all about maxing out where possible.
So I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with a level 29 Alliance hunter and the gear or quests that I should do. The items or quests so far that I'm doing are below:
Mastery quests from STV including the last one for the Bow/Gun (with Scope from Engineering)
Corpsemaker (2h Axe from Razorfen Kraul)
Grinding mobs in Gnomeragan for the blue leather legs (have Clefthide armor waiting for item, need to get before patch is released)
Now my question is most of the rest of my gear I have is level 29 greens with agi/sta, which I will apply agi or sta enchants where available, but what other items should I look out for?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.

With the addition to armory and the battlegroup forums on the official site, I highly recommend you using that for any form of gear-guide.
When I was working on my 39 druid, I went to each and every battlegroup forum and looked at their 30-39 PVP thread....which almost all of them had. Even better, they rub eachother's epeens with "Who is the best 39 PVPer" or something to that extent. So, you can go there, click on their avatar, and see thei armory profile. It is smart to go through a lot of them....to see what each of them is geared for. After that, compile your list of gear and enchants, use your favorite item database (I recommend wowhead) and outline your plan of acquisition.
You are generally safe to go ahead and get your rogue to 30 without worrying about levelign to 40....so while your gathering your information, start leveling!

If you are playing an alliance hunter at 29, you should be using the 2h sword from Mor'ladin (sp?) in Duskwood.
It's the only weapon you can use that is considered level 35 and you can put savagery on it.
the armor quests from stv are good, but, you should probably look to put cobra/cleft hide armor enchants on your legs before they nerf it in the next patch.

Thanks for the information on the 2 hand wpn there Owlz. I guess I'll have to look it up when I get home as I don't have access from work here.
Anyone know the stats off hand of the this 2 hand Owlz speaks of?
Thank you for your time and consideration.

From doing the quest which tells you to kill Mor'Ladim you'll be awarded with Archeus:
63-95 Damage, Speed 3.30
23.9 DPS.
Chance on hit: Blasts a target for 85 arcane damage.
To a hunter this is basicly worthless, the only reason owlx is mentioning it is because you can put a TBC-only enchant on it as the chance on hit heightens the item level, while the fact that it's a quest item keeps it from requiring anything. Haven't actually tested if it works myself.

hunter /sigh
just get a nice gun and some silly weapon and be naked. seriously its all it takes as a hunter. you'll have problems against mages or warlocks and moonfirespamming druids.
rest will be a cakewalk.
