How do you get to Gnomergan from Stormwind?

Reluctantly, and with a reliable party and way more levels than "required". Though it's always nice to have a hydrocane (my mage still keeps one in his backpack at 70).
Take the tram, from the Dwarf district in Stormwind, to Ironforge. Exit the gates and head to the western parts of the map.
Heroic Gnomeregan.. That'd be the day :/

Suggestion: don't go to Gnomer. It is long, complicated, hard pulls, crappy lewt, and makes you want to smash your keyboard against your computer screen. Go straight from Stocks to SM, imo...

Where else you gonna get a Hydrocane though? Or a hat with a rotating satellite dish on top?

Gnomer is the devil. I have nightmares anytime i hear it's name. The only good part about it is seeing what you get out of those sludge things when you clean them in the machines in the middle of town....lol

Gnomer is just a nightmare, plain and simple.
I agree with the comments above, do Deadmines, then Stockades, and straight into Scarlet.

Heh... I'd love to see some heroic old-world instances.
That said, I also can't wait to see "retuned" Gnomey. That worthless Spidertank Oilrag will be gone, and hopefully, the Dark Irons won't be nearly as annoying. Every wipe I've ever had in there, that's been where it happens. Even with a 60 running you, it can happen there. As it stands though, gnomey does have some of the better clothie loot available for that level. And the hydrocane is great if you aren't a druid, shammy, or lock.

I enjoyed Gnomeregan. As a low level player myself I find it educational and rewarding experiencing some of the more hellish instances. Really Gnomer isn't all that bad. Mage Mage Warrior DPS DPS Healer and you're gold. The only way you can **** this up is if you don't hug the walls when you're supposed to, or you get aggro before going down an elevator and end up training every mob in the zone to you. Alliance has a ton of exp quests there, and the loot is great IMO. Toxic Revenger and especially Triprunner Dungarees are the best thing for quite a while on Rogue, as is the Electromagnetic Gigaflux Reactivator for its respective class, and I'm sure there's a few other things as well.

For me, the only icky thing about Gnomeregan was it's layout. I had no clue where to go and I'd get lost in a snap.
After running it as a L50 a couple of times my L2x Mage had a much better grasp of it.
What I find positive:
- hard fights (better than boringly easy fights)
- non-elites (paired with a pally tank = AoE madness!)
- great loot
- a mailbox in the middle of it all
