Don't. For the love of anything that is holy, DON'T.

1° Against Bliz's rules - bannable offense.
2° It's technically impossible to give one character from account to account. So that would mean account trading.
3° This means password sharing. Need I say more than DON'T!!!

IF you decide to go against all common sense, keep in mind that an account name and password is not a trade. The trader needs to give you -all- the account info, including secret question, verify change of email and name and all that jazz. Otherwise they can just use password recovery and take it back off you. Stupid friend of mine found that out the hard way.

You're welcome

It's against the ToS. You don't own said character, ergo, you are not allowed to trade it with someone else either.

If, it's against the ToS then it's a very very very good bet, that it's not allowed here either. And guess what, trading characters/accounts or trying to sell characters/accounts isn't allowed here either.

Talking about the morality of which is allowed, but asking for help how to do it.. Not going to happen. And if one does try to make it happen..

Fluffy hasn't been fed in a while, and it's a bit famished. :evil2:

I'm willing to chalk this up as a simple error of judgement on your part. Don't let it happen again, because we will be watching.

In reality even they give you all the information to the account they can still phone up Blizzard and give their credit card information and past details to retrieve the information. It really is not safe to trade your account unless you know the person you are trading with and you can guarentee they will not try to scam you.

Also, while the ToS may say Blizzard owns your accounts, your items etc... We know that in reality they do not. It is simply legal garbage.

Intellectual property is a very vague notion. Certainly Blizzard spells it out quite clearly, but in terms of public statute it's not as clear. IANAL, but because I have my own intellectual property I have faced issues of legal ownership.
The truth of the matter is that just because a company says they own something, especially property that is related directly to a paid service, doesn't mean they actually own it.
I'm not suggesting you attempt to circumvent the WoW ToS, but the truth is that you could feasibly fight ownership of your account and character. But why go to all that trouble for what equates to a few hundred bucks? Unless you planned on taking civil action, your legal fees would exceed that amount easily.

Simple as this:
Blizzard owns the servers your characters are stored on (or if they're renting them the contract probably states they own all the bits). Thus they own the only trace of your character which you can actually use for something.

You could, of course, write down all your character-details, set up another server (breaking a few rules as well as some copy-right laws), and make the character there. In that case you'd own your character, but Blizzard would still own the edition of it stored on their servers, as they own either the servers or the data.

You could, perhaps, claim ownership of your character's name.. that's about it.. and all it'd obtain you would be a forced name-change as I believe it's against the naming-rules to have a copy-righted name.

I had a guy hassling me the other day for about half an hour... my responses were along the lines of 'get stuffed' and 'no seriously, get stuffed' until I had to put him on ignore. It also seems to be popping up on trade chat a lot... it really annoys me. It just does.

I get hassled a bit because I have a fairly twinked out shammy and get a few requests. But it's like, I put all this time and effort into my character and you are a lazy goose? And because you didnt put the effort in you wouldnt appreciate it anyway. I mean, learning the mechanics of any class takes a good 70 levels and then you are always learning new stuff.

Don't do it.
1st - like everyone has said, it's a TOS and will likely make you lose WOW forever.
2nd - he's offering someone higher level? Gotta be a catch.
3rd - Always a catch to doing somethign illegal (in the game) - you're gonna get screwed, one way or another. Don't give your account info to anyone - not guildies, not friends, not anyone.
