Lock Question

I have this Ornate Bronz Lockbox that I picked up somehow. The thing says "locked", how do I open it? Can I get a key or a kit from somewhere?

I believe you will have to get a rogue to use his/her lockpicking abilities to open it for you?

Get a rogue to open it for you. I think engineers can also make and explosive that can blow apart lower level locks. I've also heard of keys that blacksmiths (or was it engineers) make that can sometimes open these boxes.

3 ways to open locked boxes:
1) Have a Rogue pick the lock.
2) Have a Blacksmith make you a skeleton key to unlock it.
3) Wait until next patch, then have an Engineer blow it up with a seaforium charge. Currently those can only unlock doors.

I'd go with option 1.

Best thing to do is hang out in a major city and advertise in trade or general chat "looking for rogue to open lock box in <insert city>". Often they will do it for free as they get an exp pt for it. But it is also good etiquette to tip them a few silver for their services.
edit: also include what type of lockbox. IE: mithril, steel, etc.

And put it in the "not to be traded" slot- they can pick it from there. Most will pick it and give it back, but its not worth the risk.

Not to mention that it's faster to use the no-trade spot; not only will it save you trading it back, but rogues get a casting time if picking the lock of something in their inventory.
