BG3 horde is notorious for losing AV games and since I believe this is AV weekend I need advice.

Is it better to constantly play AV on it's weekend even tho chances are very high that horde will lose? Or would it be better to stick to somewhat quick (15-25min) EOS games in which the horde almost always wins? I guess this question will apply to every bg weekend. It seems that typically games are much longer and more competitive than during the week or off weekends. Not that I mind competition but I'm still waay undergeared so just looking to accumulate honor as quickly as possible.

think its EOTS this weekend, or at least im sure i saw eots weekend crews about the cities this morning.

ive always found av to be pretty good for honor wether its the AV weekend or not.

even presuming you are going to lose, you can pick up 300+ bonus honor from killing all the npcs capping flags etc, so even if you dont get to win you still can pull some honor.

not got the addon anymore buti did have one that told me how much honor i was getting per hour for each BG, and it was the AV that was providing the highest amount of honor for me

I made 7800 Honor points yesterday in AV trying to get marks so I can ditch my turkey mount, the fact that I dinged at 61 before deciding on going to AV marks didnt help. A level 61 mage is rubbish against a load of lvl 70's and the bosses I could even touch.
Never the less I've now got my Black War Raptor and i'm supprised a female BElf looks quite good one.

[EDIT]
I got so many points because we lost nearly every match.

If the AV's are fairly quick and your team usually gets 200-350 honor even when loosing, I would say that AV is still the highest honor.

Luckily horde do pretty well as EOS so it was a nice weekend for me. Playing 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the evening I accumulated over 4k honor winning 60-70% of games. I figure about 1k per hour is a good expectation. One more evening of it tonight. Shooting for another 3-4k:grin:

Yeah, 1k/hr is a pretty decent amount of honor to shoot for.

I find WSG is the mother of honor - if you can get a decent premade, matches can be won in a max of 10 mins, giving a fairly nice chunk of honor.

On the flipside, games can take ages and you may not get 1 flag

Back pre-BC when I was PvPing more, I found that a good premade in AB would get you more honor than WSG. We'd consistently get a 4cap in AB (if not 5) and be done in no time.

I suspect a good premade in EoS would be better. There are only 4 objectives, so you have more ppl per objective, plus you can be constantly running the flag to get the game over even faster.

The thing is that the PvP gear purchased by honor points is pretty equivalent to gear in 70 instances... so there isn't the huge push to PvP all the time any more.

Now the arena is a different story.... *drools all over himself thinking of arena weapons*

The level of the PvP gear is pretty similar now to the gear in the 70 instances, but it is much better for PvP.

If you are actually PvPing so that you will have better gear to PvP with, and start doing arenas with, then the PvP gear is the way to go. Especially as a hybrid class because PvP gear generally has the best rounded stats with high stam and res.

Actually a lot of good PvP'ers are going to be using 2 arena pieces and 2 regular PvP pieces for a while for the extra resilience bonus.

-On a side note, I saw a huge jump in my pvp Dps when I upgraded to that spikey Gladiator's Maul! Love it
