For me, if it's worth honor and green or yellow, it's dead.
Depends on my mood - I like fair fights though (meaning they are not low life or low level or crippled in some other way).

Depends very much on circumstance for me, if they're fighting a friendly force then they're dead regardless of whether the kill will be honourable or not. If they're competing with me for some kind of limited resource then chances are that I'll drop them (or try to) if they offer honour. Regardless of level, I try never to initiate PVP if someone is obviously interacting with a quest giver.

I'm on a PvE server but I gank, kill NPC's, attack escort-quest-mobs and annoy other people in general - I always run around tagged because I want PvP and I assume everyone else who runs around tagged wants PvP aswell. If they don't? Well, turn off your PvP then. I've NEVER ever killed someone who is gray to me, though, without them attacking me first. That is just griefing IMHO.

 That is one of the funniest things I've read all day. As to the PvP server policy? If there is a chance I could win the fight, yes, I'll attack.

It depends entirely on how I feel and who the other guy is.
Some guilds/toons are on my KoS list.
Only thing I'll never attack is a Druid, unless it attacks me, a guildy or an alt of mine first.
it depends entirely on my mood and happycow's mood... yep... the likelihood of your survivable depends on some woman who doesn't play wow anymore :p

If I wanna quest in peace I quest in peace - alliance can run past me without getting attacked. If I then get attacked, I can quickly turn the fight around.

I'm quite happy to live & let live especially if they are questing or leaving me be.
If ive just been ganked its a different story - if I cant find & kill the perpetrator(s) then its open season on the Horde & will take out anything within 10 levels of myself, or die trying, but leave the babies of lvl 30 & below alone.

Depends, If i'm questing I won't attack anything without being attacked first. But usually at the end of the day when i'm tired of questing I'll usually run around STV or head up to Hillsbrad to get some good fighting going. STV is the best because people are always /2 Help! I'm being camped by ******. If i'm in the mood, I'll go help them out.
I have never, ever attacked anyone that was a lower level than me (very dishonorable in my opinion), unless they attack me first.
I also have a list of characters that are on my "Kill on Sight" list.

I never really gank unless someone is corpse-camping my alt/brother/friends etc. On the rare occasions I do a fly-by ganking I'll kill 'em once and leave and normally give them a /sorry.
Now that I think about it I don't really see why I always rolled on PvP servers, never really do outdoor PvP and when I do its always in a Duel sort of way with both at 100% HP/Mana.

If im in an area that Im not going to leave for awhile, I will try to keep out of fights with horde. I never gank, unless the person is attacking a friendly who is lower level than them (I dont help friendlies who are fighting enemies who are lower than them). But if Im passing through an area and there's honor to be gained (and the victim is out of combat), they are dead.

If its red *somebody* is dead. Even if I am playing my level 1 bank and somehow got transported to Outlands. If I saw a 70 warlock in full Arena gear...I will do everything in my power to take it out.

Depends for me too. If they attack me or another Horde, I'll jump in pretty much no matter what. If I'm leveling a character I generally leave them alone because I'd rather finish my quest than deal with fighting someone (and possibly their buddies) over and over. Most of the time I leave lowbies alone unless I'm helping another friend's lowbie character. Otherwise it mostly depends on my mood, sometimes I'll attack everything I come across, other times I leave them alone.

Depends on my mood.
Normally I don't mess with people unless they initiate it or are already engaged with someone of my faction, NPC or player.
If they attack first then its game on, regardless.

Typically I attack if it's worth honor. I'll go for even fights and enjoy the challenge, but I'll jump on an enemy who is in a predicament if they are worth honor. I like the risk of pvp, but don't support greifing lowbies or people who are grey to me. I don't abide greifing at all.
Now in a BG, slightly off topic but hey, but in a BG, if it's red, it's dead.

Kill all red on sight unless I'm questing/grinding in an area and don't want a bunch 70's to come and impede my progress for 2 hours.

Since i v been ganked by a lot on my way to 70, i now turn around ...
after all, ur on pvp server for a reason, i wont corpse camp though, just kill em and leave ...

08-05-2007, 12:02 PM
i will kill any rogues on sight, even the truce between ally and horde in outlands is broken by rogues, u are killing for quests and bam a rogue came from back side,
they are allways kill on sight for me...
the rest depends on mood, i wont bother low lvls, i dont attack people doing escort q, and i wont attack someone in an area where i am going to quest, as i know h/she will have revenge when i am trying to kill 3 mobs on me

If I'm in a zone appropriate for my level I will go straight for the kill. I find that if you are indecisive or hesitant about engaging then you will usually end up dead.
If I'm in a lower level zone I will take the time to check out the level. I tend to leave greys and greens alone. The only exception to that rule occurs when low-level rogues or druids steath right in front of me and ignore the fact that I still have them targetted and I am sending them /hug and /pat. If they can't unstealth and have a sense of humour about the ridiculous stunt they just tried to pull off then they deserve a smack.
No corpse-camping either. If I want another go at someone then I let them res and get back to full health/mana and it's only back on again if they show signs of wanting another fight. I tell corpse-camper braggers in my own faction to shut up, where possible.

I raised a hunter to 60 on a pvp and his rules changed as the day went by. If I ran across a low level alli then i waved. If they waved i moved on, if they did not I roared and then waved again. Still no wave they died or if a pet class the pet died.
I attacked most my level on sight.
Only low levels I attacked without question were pallies (anywhere) and rogues in stv.
Now that was a reg play day, however If one of my alts got ganked over and over my the same high levels. I would take an hr or 2 to go and kill as many lowbies as possible in retaliation.

I actually have quite a bit of a list of things to take into account when deciding whether I attack someone or not. Putting them all here would be a waste of time as often enough I'm not all that precise about them when I'm playing, but in short, things like what character I happen to be playing, what class/race the enemy is and what is he doing affect a lot more than level differences or whether or not they are worth honor.

I don't know if this seems odd but if someone is obviously a holy priest I won't gank them. (holy nova is 100% they are holy) something about killing a toon specifically made to heal seems so wrong lol

Won't attack grey's unless they just happen to be collateral damage.
Everyone else is getting attacked...period. Come to think of it..it would be great if we could kill our own faction too. I think the only time I haven't stopped to kill opposing factions is when I am on an escort quest myself. But that's only to the extent that I won't initiate the fight, but if someone attacks me during an escort quest, I will retaliate without question.

/agree i allways kill hunters, or they will kill me. I like farming Primals in Elemental plataue in nagrand but i usually kill all the horde because theyll start killing me/my mobs so.. ill kill em all except for this 1 mage named piggles hes cool lol.. so yeah

I attack them all. I don't care about levels. I would not feel bad about killing a level 20 as opposed to a 70. I won't camp them, but I will definitely kill them. Or maybe if I am in a humorous mood I will inject them with some poison and run away, or sap them and leave.
Just the other night I was riding through Hellfire helping a guildie when we saw that BE NPC riding west. Just as we were about to attack him, he turned green because an Orc was doing a quest. 1 BE traitor + 1 NE Rogue = dead Orc fast :)
The best kind of Hordie is one taking a dirt nap IMO.
And I am the ultimate in cheap. If I am about to die to a Hordie I vanish and /salute and go about my business.

Hehe.. I'd love there to be a free for all PvP server where everyone's fair game at every place and time.. but only opposite faction member of appropriate levels are worth any honor.
Yeah, this probably has already been suggested 1000's of times.

I mainly only hit yellows and red(if i have backup that is) and I'll be polite and move on with my business, unless my business happens to be in the same area as where he might be. I don't normally mess with locks unless I see they mess with me.

If it's red it's dead regardless of class, level or name. I'll gank, kill and fight it out with whatever players I find when I'm out there. I play on pvp servers only and I expect nothing less in return. Gives the game a little more edge.

If it's red, it's dead. Although I tend to have fun with lowbies, either by scaring them for a while before i kill them, sapping and distracting them while they look around in a panic, or just having fun with them.
Generally though, if I am questing in an area, if they are obviously doing the same thing in the area I am in, I will generally leave them alone if they do the same.

I wanted to be live and let live, but I've been ganked so many times by level ?? people that I am going through a kill everything phase. I'm level 38 so hopefully my survivabilty will jump when I get my mount--then maybe I'll try live and let live again.

Seeing as I've been busy leveling my rogue and warrior lately I tend to live and let live, but there are a few guidelines that must be followed to not infuriate me:
1)Don't kill mobs I need for quests
2)Don't kill mobs I need for farming
3)Don't ninja-tag mobs I'm after
4)Don't let me catch you farming herbs/ores while I am
If you happen to break one of these, then you are deserving of a dirt-nap. If I lose a fair fight then I'll accept defeat and head the other way. If you happen to gank me or decide to camp my corpse then I'll grab my main and return the favor.

1)Don't kill mobs I need for quests
So very true!
If someone break this rule while I'm near, they die. I don't care if they're not /PvP enabled, or if they're the same faction as me, they're going down even if I need to kite a world boss to get them!

I generally live and let live. Generally. There are some exceptions.
-Some guilds ( quite a few actually) are KOS.
-Some people who have ganked me in the past in an unfair fight ill kill.
-If they attack me first, are stupid about it, and im not busy, they are getting camped a while.
-If they are worth honor and the fight is fair, I attack on a case-by-case basis.
Now that my main is an enhancement shaman, I generally avoid fights though :P I miss being resto, but my guild needs the dps.
On my Warrior, I only attack my fellow 70's and, even then, only well geared ones.
On my Warlock, everything dies.

If it's worth honor, yep. My PvP toons are very well geared at 70 so it's flat out not a fair fight vs Non-70s. I'll give everyone a chance to run that's like 62-69, but if they wanna play I will kill and camp until they are worth almost no honor per kill. NE Stealth is so ftw.
Personally speaking, I think it's really BM to kill someone that's grey to you unless provoked. Just no sport in it, but some people just like the easy pointless fights. I know when I'm leveling a toon my favorite PvP toon is always parked close by for those moments when someone wants to be camped for an hour. I know I always make extra time for camp revenge killing.
