My dagger skill level is around 220 and my bow skill is maxed. My crossbow skill is still at 1. Should I stick to my bow and get the dagger or get the crossbow and get my skill up. I need to go to Azeroth to get minig up so I'll have a chance to get my crossbow skill up. Also, I'm a hunter.

i would say get the crossbow and level up the skill... while the verdant keeper's aim has higher damage range (not dps) the new crossbow is faster and has stats... and yes crossbows use arrows.

Get the crossbow, average damage is the same and it's a lot faster.

Yes they use arrows, I'd suggest getting 4 or 5 stacks of the cheapest you can find and going to the dark portal, some really nasty lvl ?? elites there which can be easily shot at while the NPCs tank 'em (they do WAAY more damage than you), use rank 1 of serpent sting constantly and you'll burn through the Xbow-lvls (and your arrows) in no time.

Oh yeah, and if you head east from Honor Hold you'll be given a quest to kill some demons (path of anguish or smthn) which will give you an AWESOME 2-h axe. You'd want to get that rather than some puny little buttering-knife.

also a crossbow makes a nice thwack sound compared with the phew sound of a bow and the horrid bang of a gun.
but on the proper note the crossbow has the agi and stam your bow doesnt and also has almost 10 dps more than your bow. so go for the crossbow and by the time your 60 you will be offered the expedition repeater crossbow that is even better

Thanks for the help, I'm now using the crossbow. I got my skill up to around 130 while trying to get mining to 300.
