Well I just started WoW and I'm wondering if I did anything wrong... I only have like 400 - 500 HP at lvl 20 as a hunter. Does HP just increase every lvl or do you have to do something else. I see people with like 5k+ HP in videos, so just wondering.

Stamina gives you 10 health....so the more of that you have, the more health you get.
As a hunter, although health is important, you shouldn't be getting hit often enough to make it such a huge deal.
But you also get a bit of health each level as well.

As a hunter I've learned that a slight timing mistake on my part can pull a mob beyond my pet and to me. Because of this, I make sure I have as much Stamina as I can get, thus having quite a bit of health. I'm not even sure if I have enough, but as of right now I'm lvl 35 and my health is on the high end of the 1,300-1,400 range.

Health Points scales with ur level/class (each time u level up you get more HP's) and items (like weapons, robes, necklaces, rings and trinkets), if u detect a very high difference between your current HP and enemy faction ones in a battleground is because those twinked people. Dont worry, leave the BG and enojoy the real PVP outside in a real enviroment.
