noob question

hi, im a noob and want to know if i need all the latest patches to play with everyone else.

i know i need the master patch but do i need all the extras to experiace everything

It doesn't matter in what order you install patches as long as your version is the same as the one running on the server. So, if the server upgrades to a higher version, we all gotta go along.

They normally provide a couple of versions of each region's patch- a huge one, and one to bump from a more recent version. Just grab the huge one and it's all good. The patch installer won't let you apply it if the installed version isn't new enough, and the server won't let you on until it's up to date, so it should be pretty easy to see what's going on.

Grab the patches via http from a mirror site though, the blizz downloader can be pretty frustrating sometimes :)

dont need to get anything, my game updates it self if needed so just install game run it try to log in it will say update is available or something click ok it will quit game install patch and log back in :)
