AV rewards: Are they worth the honor?

Now with all of the fatty Outland gear just around the corner at 57+, is it worth it to spend that Hard earned honor on 55/60 gear from AV rewards or should it just be stockpiled for the expensive epic sets at lvl 70? Thoughts?

Stockpile. There is nothing from AV rewards that has any staying power. I would say Don Julios (for melee) is the best AV item, but you wont miss that one for long either.

Naw... none of it's worthwhile any more. Back before the xpac, those caster offhands were PHAT.... now they're crap.

I suggest you have the any kind of fun you want. Honestly, I think AV is one of the best BGS. You can do one of soo many things in there and have a blast. anything from defence, to helping out in the room where your general is getting attacked..etc. And I would spend the points. The lobotimizer for ex is still a very good dps weapon for early 60s.

While I agree the outland green and blue will blow anything away, the thousand or 2 honor you might spend can easily be gotten back as you reach 70

Finally the answer I was fishing for after only 3 weeks! I thought about it some more and I think that the only thing I really wanna grab is the don rodrigo ring ( http://www.ampwow.com/wow/viewNewItems/21563-Don+Rodrigo%27s+Band.php ) just because I am running the elemental shaman build and rely heavily on crits so any chance I have, I think I will take, although we will see if I sing a new tune when I am at 60 and have all the Outland rings already.

If you get the weapon rewards, right at 51, they can be a big boost until you hit 60.

Beyond that........... You might want to go and stockpile some AV tokens to purchase pvp gear with.

If you're able to get better gear whele questing/raiding.............don't bother with AV

Was actually thinking of grabbing the Don Rodrigo's ring for the Spell Penetration.

It's a pain in the rear when your CC spells get resisted.
