Tier sets

OK heres a question,

I know how the .5 and 1.0 tier sets go and the tier 2 set. but to get the tier 3, 4, and then 5 tier sets hwo is this accomplished? Do you have to start from the beggining and get the .5 then 1.0 then 2, 3 etc. ??

You do not have to have tier 0 to get tier 1, tier 2, tier 3, etc.

The only req'd one is Tier 0 -> .5

Tier 3 was dropps in Naxx.

-Tier 0 (Aka Dungeon 1) - Drops in various level 60 5 man/10 man instances such as UBRS,LBRS,Sholomance, Strat.
-Tier 0.5 (Aka Dungeon 2) - Quests obtained in a capitol city requiring you to posess the pieces of Dungeon 1 first
-Tier 1 (Aka Raid 1) - Obtained from level 60 40 man raid Molten Core
-Tier 2 (Aka Raid 2) - Obtained from the following Level 60 40 man raids
Head - Onyxia's Lair
Pants - Molten Core (Ragnaros)
Rest - Blackwing Lair
-Tier 2.5 (Raid 2.5) - Temple of An Quiraj 40 man level 60 raid
-Tier 3 (Aka Raid 3) - Level 60 40 man raid Naxaramus (yeah i cant spell)
-Tier 3.5 (Aka Dungeon 3) - Various Level 70 5 Man Dungeons
-Tier 4 (Aka Raid 4) - Various Level 70 10/25 man Raids (Karazhan, Gruuls Laid, Magetherdions Lair).
-Tier 5 (Aka Raid 5) - More level 70 raids (Serpentshrine, EOTS, Hyjal?)
-Tier 6 (Black Temple not released yet)

As Stigg stated, Tier 3 drops in Naxxramas. Unless you are extremely dedicated and can find a number of like minded people, you're not likely to collect it. While a solid set, it will be eventually replaced by gear you find in Outlands, so the time invested to gather it all by raiding Naxxramas is probably better spent actually gathering better gear in Outlands.

The next set up is called Dungeon 3, which is collected in the various level 70 5-person instances: Sethekk Hall, Shadow Labyrinth, Shattered Halls, Steamvaults, Black Morass, and all of Tempest Keep (Mechanar, Botanica and Arcatraz).

Tier 4 and Tier 5 drop in the various raid instances. I believe Tier 4 is found in Karazhan, Magtheridon's Lair and Gruul's Lair, while Tier 5 is in the bigger 25-person raid dungeons. You win Tokens for various gear slots, which you can then cash in with the Aldor/Scryer vendors for your actual gear. There are 3 tokens for each piece, usuable by one of 3 classes.

The new Tier 6 drops in the Black Temple, and I imagine will use the same Token system.

Also be aware that there can be multiple sets per class for each Tier. For example, Priests can get +healing gear or +damage gear. The looks are the same, but the bonus stats differ, as do the set bonuses.

So you get a set number of tokens for every raid/instance and can later spend them?

I think by tokens they mean...a piece that is "turned in" by mutiple classes. Like the ZG pieces. ( I thought it was like the honor tokens you earn...)

Thanks for the answer to the question about the tier sets. Sry that I didnt see the threads about the tier sets. I looked through a few but didnt see them. Its not like I am at home right now anyway and have a cable modem. I am in the navy and we are out to sea for another 2 weeks, and the time it takes to load just one of these pages is abotu 1 min.

I guess it could be considered 1.5 since it fits into slots t1 doesnt fill. But for almost all those slots there were better items. As a hunter the cloak and ring were nice but I had better dps mele weps from zg. perhaps this was different for other classes however. Even with the ring there were better alternatives elsewhere (i think even the ZG set was better for dps).
