I am buying wow and i was wondering if i have to frist buy the origanal wow before i can buy wow Burning Crusade Expansion Set or can i just buy the new one and it will work ty for the help.

You need the original World of Warcraft. Burning Crusade is an expansion, and will not work unless you have the original.

Is the expantion way worth it if i am just starting out

If you are just starting, I suggest that you just buy the original for now.

You won't be able to play the two new races (Blood Elf and Dreanai), but you will be able to pick one of 6 races and you will be able to quest to level 60.

Give it a few weeks (you get one free months play time online) and see if you like the game.

If you do, you can then buy the expansion.

If is unlikely that you will get to lvl 60 with your first character in that month, so you won't need to go to Outland (the new expansion zone).
