I am trying to get my cloak enchanted with Subtlety (2% threat reduction) but I am having a hard time finding someone who has this. Is it a rare drop that only a few enchanters have? Or have I just not looked hard enough?

It is a fairly rare drop from an instance that no one is really running anymore (AQ 40)

Contact the raid guilds on your server and find out who their guild enchanter is.

Yep, it's a Twin Emps drop, isn't it?

If you can't find anyone with that enchant, a possibility is:
Muck-Covered Drape
Binds when picked up
Back
66 Armor
+30 Stamina
Requires Level 64
Requires Sporeggar - Honored
Use: Reduces your threat to enemy targets within 30 yards, making them less likely to attack you.

DM,
Has something like a five minute cooldown. I'd much prefer a smaller threat reduction and an equip effect. There's a blue trinket which drops in one of the lv 70 instances which does a similar job, with a use effect too.

Ahh - sry.
I never bothered to get it - as you can probably tell.
How long does it last ?
There's also that Hypnotists' watch trinket from Hellfire Peninsula IIRC.

I forget, it's very crummy though. The blue trinket is better, and then you can wear a better cloak.. or even both. Anyway, I'd personally be more inclined to use it as a healer in those situations where a tank pulls something nasty, and you have to throw a big heal before she gets solid aggro- but that's just me :)

Also the hypnotists watch from the crashed zep guys near honor hold

The trinket is from the 3rd boss of shadow labs.
Jewel of Charismatic Mystique
Binds when picked up
Unique
Trinket
Requires Level 68
Use: Reduces your threat to enemy targets within 30 yards, making them less likely to attack you.
It's another 'use' item.
How many guilds ran AQ40 before the xpac? Ask around to some of their members to see if anyone has the enchant.
I really wish blizz added an upgraded enchant (or even a side grade with new world mats) for all the old end game enchants. These old raid instances are not a walk in the park, even at 70 (AQ40/Naxx). The likilyhood you'd find enough people to learn and farm the instances for an enchant is slim.
My guess is blizzard will eventually add the enchants back into the game. Right now its still possible to find them (although hard). Soon they'll be impossible to find.

I always thought that enchant was OP as well as 2% threat to gloves.
I envy the guild who has an enchanter who can put that enchant on all the dps cloaks and the+threat on the tank gloves.
That = a 4% swing in threat no?

Well, I suppose, if you were that set on getting the enchant, you could badger your guild for an AQ40 evening. A lot of bosses which used to be irritating would now be pretty easy (Huruhan, we hatessss it), but a badly-briefed group of 70s could still wipe on the Twin Emps.
You probably wouldn't need the full 40, either.. :)

I disagree. Naxx now is a joke.
I took 15 guildies and 25 PUGs and went and did it on a late friday night a few weeks after TBC hit. We cleared...
Anubrekhan
Faerlina
Maexxna
Noth
Heigan
Loatheb
Patchwerk
Grobbelus
Gluth
Thaddius
Instructor Raz
Gothik
AND the Four horsemen
In 4 and a half hours.
Thats with at least 20 people who'd never been into Naxx before. Now I prode myself on being a decent raid leader. But if you can take a 40 man raid 50% of whom have never been inside naxx before, and clear 3 months worth of content in one night, I think you can safely say that Naxx IS a walk in the park now.
(AQ40 is even easier, just grab 25 guildies and go nuke things)

Thanks for the replies guys, guess I will go whisper all the top guilds and ask their enchanters if they got it.
Can't wait to get it....I think its the best cloak enchant for any DPS class (for raiding of course)

Drops in shadow labs
We looked it up, its 1200 or so threat reduction, compare that to fade at 800 threat reduction, its a very good trinket
Its like having a fade ability but better
But almost no one will give up their healing/dps trinket to wear it. very sad

Most of the realm forums on the official boards have a sticky for rare enchants.
Might check there first.

Most classes have built in abilities to drop agro, with exception of a couple. So its not so necessary.
But like, a resto tree healing a heroic, I really really wish they'd put that trinket on

I used that trinket for some time, then my group got better and I de'd it just last night.
Need shards for +81 heal.

The blue threat reducing trinket is a great tool for a DPS warrior, I use it especially in heroics. From the info I have got it reduces threat with 1075 on a 5 min CD. If you are exalted with Keepers of time, there in an epic trinket that works the same way.
It gives you 900 threat reduced, but with only a 2 min CD, so its more usefull for the warrior. It also gives you 27 stam and some useless resilience. The difference in threat reduction isn`t a big deal, as you pop it as soon as you have stole aggro and both will usually put it off you. The 2 min CD means you can use it more or less "all the time"

The kot trinket is a lot better. Thats one reason why I de'd my blue. The timelapse shard also has +24 stam.
I should have exalted rep very soon and be purchasing new healing bracers and the shard :D

Another choice is
Shrouding Potion
Requires Level 55
Use: Shrouds you from nearby enemies so you seem less threatening to them.
It does eat your pot cooldown though...
recipe comes from being exalted with sporegar.
