What happens when you die on a PvP server.?
Can other people take your equipment once you are dead.?
When you die do you lose all your swords and armor or nothing?
If you go into enemy territory on a PvP server and die do your stats decrease or anything bad happen?

Thanks

Nothing happens, except a long corpse run back.

Death is constant across realm types. But, if you die from a PVP encounter, you don't lsoe 10% durability.

But, if you die from a PVP encounter, you don't lsoe 10% durability.

Correspondingly, if you die from a mob providing the killing blow (even if the player character caused you to aggro the mob...), you lose 10% of your durability, and eventually have to repair your gear.

death via mob = 10% durability loss
death via player = no loss of durability... but you lose some dignity.

ressing at spirit healer = 25% durability loss too all equipment, and a 15 minute debuff reducing all your stats by 75%
ressing at body = regular.

3 times dieing in a row starts a res counter.. cant res till a spicific amount of time has passed.

if you die in an instance you have to walk back into the instance.

if you die in the open you have to either res at your body, or at the GY you got sent to (cant res at another gy)

if you die by your own means -- ie kill yourself with a spell you dont lose durability

if you fall and die you lose 10% durability.

Post level...15 iirc. Anything prior to that gets a reduced rez sickness time, and at level 10 you don't get any. (want a fast way to get from Org to XR? haha)

10 minutes, actually.

This is true unless you are killed on a boat, though this mostly happens on PVP servers I imagine. If killed on a boat you can choose to release your spirit at either end of the journey. In my case, I was killed by Alliance ?? gankers (isn't it always the way?) on the boat in Booty Bay and waited until I reached the relative safety of Ratchet before releasing my spirit to the graveyard there.

Not on my server! The Horde are the overly aggressive ones there who try to camp the boats and who attempt to gank you outside of Booty Bay, only to get themselves killed by the guards.

I have played Horde on other servers, though, and found the Alliance to be the aggressors.

This isnt really on topic, but I've heard people arguing about this before.

You dont get a 10% durability loss when you die in PvP, but you take the same amount of regular durability damage from getting hit by enemy players as you do from mobs.

That is correct. Get beat on enough and eventually you will have to repair but since you do not have the 10% durability penalty like with a PvE death you will not have to visit the repair NPC as often.

if you die by your own means -- ie kill yourself with a spell you dont lose durability

Just to clarify:
Death via mob is a 10% durability loss to your Equipped items only, while death via mob followed by ress at spirit healer is first the 10% from being killed, then 25% durability damage to ALL your gear - even the stuff supposed to be safe in your backpack - and then finally the debuff, the strength of which seems to depend on your level.
I do believe the debuff can be cleared by killing yourself (jump off a cliff, stay under water too long, pull too many mobs, or something else like that) and then ressing at your now very close body. Haven't tested it, though..

Oh also:

if you die in the IF-end of the Deeprun Tram, on an Alliance Character at least, and you'll have to run from the GY just outside SW, to the SW Deeprun Tram entrance, and then as it's not really an intance you'll have to ride the tram to IF as a ghost and then ress.. this is why I stopped chasing hordies down there..
