Raid Groups

I typically do not post or read in the General area, but wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem I have recently.

So there is this quest to kill the "Blightcaller" or whatever his name is in East Plague Land. I am at the point where it's time to assemble an"Army" to go get him and no one is around that wants to whoop up on him. Is it just that no one is playing in the "Old" Areas? Is the only place you find people to raid is the newer Outland content raids?

Anyway, if someone could unlock the mystery of how to get into a group that raids on a regular basis or at least is willing to go at a lower raid event to guage the competency of a new raider pleases let me know.

Ask a guildmate? Anything pre-tbc can easily be done by a 70 or two.

Yep, blightcaller is the end of a quest chain. By the time people are high enough level to stand a chance, they generally go through the portal to happier hunting grounds in Outland. This is why most of the high-fifties quests and instances in the old world are fairly quiet.

If it's really annoying you, and you want (for some odd reason) to complete this quest, get a few lv 70 guildies to come along and kick his ass for you. It won't take long- travelling out there will take more time than the actual fight.

Heroes of darrowshire and blightcaller... now that darrowshire fight is fantastic, absolute chaos. My wife was asking for a week... everyone is in outlands :(

There's a hint right there. If you're high enough level to be worrying about that quest, you should be making plans for Outland too. It's prettier, it's more polished, and the spiky demon piggies are excellent.

Even pre TBC this was an arkward quest to get a group for, technically its a 40 man PUG ... :)

Or done by guildies.

Get some lvl 70s and go kill him. I was in a 10 man AQ20 and we ranged from lvl55-70, it was mainly 60+ though.

Did Darrowshire for a 50something druid with my 70 feral druid and a 70 fire mage. I think I could have done it with just the druid. We failed it a couple times before I thought to mark the NPCs you have to keep alive, but we were never in any danger at all.
