Does equipment deteriorate over time?

Everytime you die or over time does your equipment (clothes, weapons etc...) deteriorate? I know they drop in durability which you can have repaired at a vender but do the items lose durability quicker the older they are or the more you die? The reason I'm asking is if it does then I need to account for this and replace items over time. ATM I'm just repairing damaged items and leaving it at that.

No. Items only have durability, which also takes a hit when you die, but thats it. You can have the same pair of pants for 2 years if you want...

Though of course, you'll be levelling up, and eventually your Pants Of Bunny Slaying won't seem quite as useful as they did a few levels back. You'll replace things quite a lot while levelling anyway.
