1) You came all the way here to advertise your site?
2) Anybody could shop that up in no time at all.
3) Anyone with balls enough to click a link to an unknown location want to tell us if he's on the level or if he's a gold spammer in disguise?

From what I can tell, Buffed.de is a German online games forum. I had a quick peak and couldn't see any advertising at all, let alone gold. So from that front it seems ok.
As for the image, obvious doubts over Photoshop'ing already come to mind, but I can't help getting that feeling, how to describe it, ah yes..."What if"...
Nice looking map though either way:)

OMG Slug I clicked it! NO am I going to get spammed for ever. Please go away gold seller. We don't like your kind round here! hehe
*edit: it would be hot if it was real though. I wonder if Blizz knows about this?*

It's a german online gaming forum. I can't comment on ads- all I saw was a static intel core <whatever> one- but the proxy tends to strip out a lot of ads for me.
The discussion (as far as my shaky ability to understand german goes) is pretty much as you'd expect, some debate as to the authenticity of the map and so forth. No obvious attempts to sell me a lv 70 belfadin.

I had incredible difficulties and burdens in setting up my account (because I live in Asia) and so I never go to any site wow related except for here, official and the database (which is kind of here too).

We have seen this but there is a lot of debate about its legitimacy and I would take it with a huge pinch of salt right now. There has been quite a few hints at Northrend being the next zone over the past few months and there are lots of images of the zone from Warcraft literature. Doesn't take long to whip up a decent map in photoshop. Northren dwil likely be the next zone but this map is more than likely a mock-up.

Yea,. you can find this map on a lot of legit sites from the US as well. Not sure if Rush would appreciate outgoing links to competitor sites, but a quick google search will net you quite a few of these maps.

I sure hope that's not an Xpac... or if it is, I sure hope they expand a little on it. I feel outlands could have been so much bigger... like at least the size of Kalimdor. And this seems even smaller than that.
2) Anybody could shop that up in no time at all.
That's incorrect. I know a lot of people (including myself) who could never do that with Photoshop...

This does seem to correelate with data that had been found in the 2.1 datafiles... expansion02 tree, with some models that are for Northrend locations.

The map decoration art (the little figures at the edges) are all copied from the existing maps. Blizz would have new art for a new map. FAKE. done.
As for the Northrend stuff, there has been Outland data in the game since day 1. Everyone knows that Northrend will be released eventually. The fact that it is in the game data has no bearing on when it will be released.

Outland data was there since day 1. Outland stuff was added for a while incrementally, and then announced as the first expansion. Now Northrend stuff is being added, in a branch of the datafiles called "expansion02" -- following the way that Outland stuff had been done already, there is strong cause to believe that Northrend is the next expansion. Not a guarantee, just a good amount of evidence strongly suggesting it.

Or Northrend is *part* of the next expansion at least. There could easily do the Undermine and the Maelstrom at the time.

It still would mean that Northrend is in the next expansion -- no conflicts from me on that.

Its also possible that in adding Northrend as the next expansion (or northrend + more azeroth content) they could enable the possibility of buying WoW + Expansion #2 without Expansion #1 being required.
I know this seems downright silly, but it is a thought.
If they used a portal in outlands to go to *another world* that pretty much requires wow + exp 1 + exp 2...

Makes sense to me, Fursphere.

Didn't someone on Blizzards payroll say something to the effect of "The Level Cap would probably never surpass 80" ?

Biggest problem I see with that map is the "Great Sea" would be below the contintent, not above it.

If you look carefully at the zone called "Sholazar Basin" you'll see the standard little arrow depicting the player's current position. So this would HAVE to be a screenshot of an in-game map taken from playtesting, if it is legit.

Technically it's all around it. Or do they have a "North Sea" or something in Azeroth?

Actually if you look at the in-game maps now, the Great Sea is only on one side of the Eastern Kingdoms. They left themselves room for another contintent or two or three left to right as well.
