View Full Version : Invite alt toons to your guild?
Is there any way to invite alt toons to the guild that you are in? I joined a guild very early on in my wow playing without knowing what it meant to be in a guild, at some point the leader gave up on the guild and promoted me to top rank. When I realized this I kicked everybody else out of the guild (nobody ever logged on, and the highest level was like 13). So now I am the only person in the guild. I have stayed in the "guild" just to keep people from spamming me guild invites until I am ready to actually be involved in a real guild.
Anyways... I'd like to get my alts into the same guild to avoid spamming, but it tells me they are offline when I do the invite from my main toon. Which of course they are, but there is no way I can be online using both toons.

Not possible. Only thing you can do is invite a friend as an officer and ask him to invite your alts.

You would have to have someone else in your guild with the powers to invite people. Thats the only way, that I know of..

Just curious but...do you not have any intention of joining a guild in future. I soloed my first character to mid-50s and had a great time but didn't know how much fun I was missing until I joined a strong guild. It adds a lot both in terms of game content that you can access as well as the feeling of community that it brings.
Why don't you just join another guild?
Cheers,

Yeah, I do intend to join a real guild at some point. I found a couple friends that have a low-key, "help each other out" kind of guild which I was going to join. I couldn't switch guilds though, because I wasn't able to quit my own guild when I was the only member. Still can't.
After trying to quit my own guild for a while I gave up and decided to enjoy having my own exclusive guild (no tabard yet, but I'm working on it). I figure I'll join a real guild if/when I feel I can be helpful in return for being helped.

If the only toons in your Guild are your own it's going to make for really boring /gchat...

Thats true, its a very quiet guild. I thought maybe one day I'd invite people that I met that were anti-social like myself, but haven't gotten around to it.

/gdisband is the command you're looking for, if I remember correctly. I had to do that once when someone talked me into signing a guild charter. I thought I'd be nice and almost immediately turned into the GM and only active member of a guild with an excrutiatingly bad name.

Ahhh, thx. That'll help. Though now I'll get invites from everybody anytime I'm near a mailbox... The guild I inherited is called "wolf pack" which is kind of bad, but at the same time the lone wolf traveling in a pack kind of appealed to me as a primarily solo player :)
