Zoom out. Use your mousewheel and roll it backwards.

Or, press Home or Insert... it's one of the keys in that block of 6 anyway. :)

In fact, look in your Keybinding options for 'First Person View'.

Maybe it's worth mentioning early that if you suddenly get annoying health bars over everyone's head, you can disable them with "V". This bites pretty much everyone at some point, consider it a pre-emptive strike :)

this is not a platform game, jumping off high things hurt!

?? does not mean you cant establish whether its friendly or an enemy. its means the enemy will eat you.
