Just a quick question on how I'm doing in the game.

It seems that I'm always fighting enemies 2-3 levels above me, which usually means I'm having to pull one at a time and hope I don't agro more. This is OK for the most part but can mean it takes ages to do some missions. Is this right? Should I be fighting higher level enemy more often than not?

Cheers.

Answer: No. It is not efficient. For efficient levelling, you will want to kill mobs fast and turn in quests fast. Remember, the key here is Experience per hour, not experience per mob. If you fight those 2-3 levels higher than you, you receive more damage per battle and you need to rest more often, meaning you are not killing many mobs at once. This brings down the number of experience per hour down as you are killing less mobs per hour.

what he said. the slightly extra xp per kill no way justify the time it takes to kill them and recovery afterward.

You are playing it right if you're having a good time doing it.

If you are just interested in xp/hr, go with what Mincemaker said.

TBH no it's not as enjoyable as popping of a mob in no time. Having the run/regen after every enemy is a pain which is why I asked if this was right. Gaining less XP but quicker makes more sense really which is what I'm going to do now. Just need to find a spot with the right level mobs now.

Cheers.

There are always a lot more quests for your level than you might think.

You will, however, need to travel to get them.

What level and faction are you?

I'm guessing he's Horde... Maybe a Tauren? I'm willing to bet he's not a rogue, either.
