patch help

i tried the burning crusade 10 day trial. When i log in it says that it is downloading in a night elf type of place. Then it exits out of that and a pop up comes up saying downloading. Theres like a tauren and a dwarf on the screen. The green bar finishes downloading and then another popup comes up and tells me shut down all files to start downloading.... i tried it like 8 times and nothing happened???? WTF do i do . please help me guys!

Today's patch day... major patch for the TBC retail version.

I have no idea how that will affect the 10 day TBC trial, but I'd expect lengthy download times.
