Image of Archmage... something.

I was in IF, when I noticed a translucent figure of a mage standing in between the bank and the AH. Nobody knew what he was there for..

He disappeared a few minutes later. Anybody know who this is? Is name was "Image of Archmage (I don't remember)"

He is a quest item , lol you get his staff in a netherstorm quest chain which you use to contact 'summon' his image, at the end of the chain, the quest item is left in your inventory. i still have it and i pop him out everywhere and laugh at the attention he gets :grin:

One of the Netherstorm quests gives you a staff that you can use to summon him. Then the summoned guy gives you quests.

It is hysterical to use it in towns. I refuse to complete the quests just as it is such a cook item to have. Summon him infront of an AH and watch as everybody runs in the door, then backsteps out to target it.

I've seen many people do that, Stigg. Me and someone else were thinking of good places to put it when we brough it to the entrance of Northshire Abbey's building and watched the newberts gather around it wondering what it could possibly be...
