Mount Question - ??

There is something that I have been wondering regarding mounts, and more specifically, Riding Skill.

I currently still have my 60% run speed horsie. I am lvl 62 and I am wanting an epic horsie. As I understand it, it costs around 600 gold (or thereabouts) to get the skill for this. I also understand that it costs around 900 gold for the skill for a non-epic (60%) flying mount at lvl 70. My question is this:

In order to get the skill at lvl 70 that will allow me to ride a flying mount, do I have to have already purchased the skill that allows you to ride epic non-flying mounts?

In other words:
If I don't buy my skill to ride an epic horsie, will I have to spend 900ish + 600ish in order to get the flying mount skill at 70?

My problem is that I will easily have enough gold to get a flying mount when I hit 70 and I didn't want to blow 600 or so gold on an epic horsie now unless I'm going to have to spend the cash at lvl 70 anyway. (Well maybe I would, but that's not the point)

I assume that if it works like other skills, you have to buy the starting out skill (90 gold), then the epic riding skill (600 or whatever gold), then the flying skill (900), THEN the epic flying skill (4.5k or whatever). Is that right?

You will need the Epic Regular Mount riding (150) to get the Regular Flying (225) Riding skill. And to be honest, go ahead and grab the epic mount as well. It'll make life easier and gold come real easy at 70.

You will need the riding skill for your epic land-mount in order to train for the flyin mount.

You have to buy EVERY skill level. No Skipping.

150 - 600G
225 - 900G
300 - 5000G

100% Horse - 90G
60% Bird - 100G
280% Bird - 200G (I think?)

You don't have to buy every mount, but you have to buy every skill level.

Correct. Easily had the gold to get the Regular Flying when I hit 70. The epic will help you move around faster and have less chance of getting dismounted by mobs.

Cool, thanks for the responses. That makes my decision a lot easier. Also nice to know that gold shouldn't be a problem at 70; it has been coming in faster and faster, so I was kind of thinking that it shouldn't be a big issue.
