A Question

Hey all

I was looking at a thread for Gurgleblaster.net and it had two things that I was wondering you's could clarify for me. I think I may know the answers but I just want to be sure.

When looking at sustained and burst dps, Im thinking that Sustained dps is same white damage over the course of the fight with now and again crits and with Burst damage I'm thinking burst whites crits more often and high yellow crits aswell?

Sorry if this doesnt make any sense, oh and I play a druid and rogue so maybe better understanding this would help me in the long run anyway.

sustained dps = DPS over a 2-10minute boss fight

burst dps = TON of damage in the first few seconds of a fight. usually followed by horrible 'sustained' DPS afterwards.

take your rogue for example.

sustained dps = slow sword using sinister strike over and over with Slice and Dice up.

burst dps = ambush crit, gouge, backstab crit
