No you didn't screw anything up. Yes you will have to download another file, the new patch (2.1) was released in the US today and EU tomorrow morning.

If it makes the idea more palateable, don't think of it as a "patch" but as "free bonus content". Thats one thing about Blizz I have to say I love, they give away what most companies would sell.

Indeed, if this were Everquest they'd release it as an "expansion" and charge £20 for it ;D

question, im a mac user;

I downloaded a patch maybe 1-2 weeks back. But it hasnt installed. everytime i end the game the BlizzD'Loader opens, and just updates...

Has the patch been installed automatically or is there a manual way i have to install?

They pre-download the patch to save a massive hit on the servers on patch day. So, when your region has it's patch day (Tomorrow/today for EU, I think) when you launch your client it will patch from the on-disk image without having to download anything.

yeah im in London. LOL i just had to rush to complete 2 of my quests & then get myself back to an inn, because the shutdown is at 2am UK times (in 2 mins time)...its gonna be down about 10 hours so i had to make sure i was at an Inn, or no rest bonus!

Damnit they added another 10MB or so today, and the Blizz Downloader goes so slowly. I always drop the Background Downloader's torrents into Azureus but I can't do that with this bit.

Ahh well, back to counting the bytes :( .

does anyone know if Blizz ever puts out a 2.0.0 -> current patch?
I ask this cause my wife's PC lost a hard drive and I had to re install the whole game... and it gets REALLY annoying having to install one patch, then another, then another...

Wondering if they've ever put out a "everything you need to get caught up" kinda patch... So far I have the whole install to 2.0.0 in one thing, and the first few patches saved to disk, but it's still SO slow.

You mean a master patch containing all the material from the previous patches?
Yup, they do. Currently there is one available for the US/AUS. Titled: World of Warcraft Manual Patch 2.1.0 - US/AUS, unfortunately I cannot spot you a link, considering my usual patch haunt place now has goldselling adds. :cry:

No such luck for the current EU version of WoW though, last one that I can find is titled: World of Warcraft Manual Patch 1.12 - UK and there are similar German and French versions.
