Yes there is a pre-quest. It involves killing Al'ar (1st in TK) and Leothoras (4th in SSC) along with a couple of other bits and bobs if i recall correctly.

This means you need TK and SSC attunement.
Which means you need to have killed Magtheridon (TK attunement), Gruul and Nightbane (SSC Attunement).
Which means you need to be attuned to Karazhan
Which means you need to have run some 5 mans
Which means you need the level of intellegence to be able to walk AND talk at the same time without injuring yourself through retardedness

Notice that he said you need to have the intelligence to walk and talk at the same time without hurting yourself. Having the intelligence and using the intelligence aren't necessarily the same thing :laugh:
